 Wow, that's some rant. Personally though, I believe the OP.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Seems that someone in MSE towers must have too; the post has gone...

It did seem more like someone from the restaurant in question did a google very recently, found this thread and then made up an interesting (but unlikely?) tale rubbishing the OP.

Why would someone rip off a restaurant and then publically announce they were the wronged party; wouldn't you keep quiet about it?

Yep, way too many discrepancies in the other party's story too. Not that I can remember what most of them were now. I've had a sleep since then. lol

You've already done something far more effective by posting it on here!

Type "La Rioja West Wickham" into Google..... ;)

    haha quite funny.

I did something like this once actually. We booked what was described as a family hotel. Got there and the owner was extremely rude to us for bringing our (well-behaved) 4-year old. So left a bad review on tripadvisor.

About 2 weeks later received an email via the hotel booking company from rude owner. Annoying, and completely pointless for him to do. So signed up for a new tripadvisor account and left a second bad review under a different ID.
  • oh dear did the op pay under protest? ie write on the back of the till receipt that he or she was not happy with the bill total?

Ironically, the rant woke this thread up again. :rotfl:

My initital thoughts were that they'd written their own review, but that reviewer does have 140 in total so maybe not.
