You've already done something far more effective by posting it on here!

Type "La Rioja West Wickham" into Google..... ;)

Ooops! That's very good actually - it gives people the choice to visit if they want but it also makes everyone aware.

    Thankyou!

In that case, the staff should have realised the error and refunded without fuss.

Happened to us last time 8 of us went out for a meal. A couple of extra bottles of wine appeared on the bill. They were quick enough to remove them when the 'error' was pointed out, but how many people don't check the bill. Funny how the 'error' always seems to be in their favour.

It's good they quickly removed it. It took us over an hour and still the restaurant insisted we had drunk that much, oh and had extra puddings. Unfortunately, the Manager got extremely shirty and tried to physically remove some of the remaining women. We did end up paying for what we believe was correct - about £150 less! I have since heard from others that have had a similar experience in same La Rioja!
It;s just a shame to work hard to enjoy a meal out and have someone else think it;s ok to help themselves to your hard earned money.

I always check restaurant bills carefully. I sometimes find they include a hefty service charge in the total (can be very big if you are in a group of 10 plus) and then add 10% again at the end or leave a gap for you to leave a tip on the cc bill. It certainly takes the shine off a nice meal out when you leave feeling ripped off.

You could contact the local paper and ask them to visit and see if the same happens to them.

and you should have called the police even if it was when you got home to make an official complaint about the manhandling, make him think twice about doing it again if the coppers came and told him off..
