And no matter how well you think you have things tied up - keep checking the online statements - I'd cocked up Dialler settings and forgotten to route 0845 0870 etc back through BT
Spotted after 2 days though so no major damage done!

Is there a way to contact them by phone? I applied for an account yesterday, registering 2 phone numbers. I want to remove one of the two phone numbers but they only have a contact email on their website, no phone number0

Just got connected to JDS.
Anyone know what times they regard as peak, off peak etc?
Thanks.{Signature removed by Forum Team - if you are not sure why we have removed your signature please contact the Forum Team}

Thanks.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Thanks Heinz.

I guess they make money by people forgetting to dial 1280 to get through to BT?
S0 to dial 1899 in the day do I just dial eg 1280 1899 02071234567?
Surely you don't need to dial 1280 first when needing to dial 1899. When dialling the 1899 prefix that will automatically override the jds carrier. At least going by my bills this has been the case. Maybe someone else can confirm either way on this.0 -
Yep, no need to prefix, just dial 1899 followed by your number.

After reading and agreeing about the lousy customer service, I too am thinking about changing to Primus, but wondering if there is anything I may have missed that is different between the two. I posted a while back about the 20p cap on landline to mobiles at evening and week-ends, as I had been over charged by 2p for each call. I did e-mail customer services and initially had an automatic reply saying they would respond within 48 hours. A week passed and there was nothing, so I resent and have had nothing at all. Very disappointing. I don't like the way the calls are displayed either. By that I mean you have to choose an actually month, rather than view calls since your last bill. Seems Primus is winning in the popularity polls, so I willl probably change one their site is up again. At the time of typing this it is down.0
