Yeh, i think thats what i will do, i just cant believe the cheek of some salesmen. I am not really prepared to pay an EXTRA £95 when i have been quoted £10. I find that pretty unfair.
I know its a good deal, but theres only so far some people can stretch their budgets to.
I agree, although in some cases budget and sale price just don't meet (a bit like me and a Honda CRV, hence the Aygo). Although I agree you should pay whats agreed, if you are really pushing your budget so the £85 makes or break a deal perhaps you might be better buying a new car later in life. Material goods which depreciate will not enhance your life for very long whereas financial squeeze can be very depressing - especially for a youngster who probably has a decent social life!0 -

LOL you would be suprised. I dont drink and i dont smoke.... im more of a sensible kind!!!
Its not about what i can and cant afford, its the principle of it. I am sure i will find an extra £95 over the next 2 years lol, but the annoying part about it is being quoted more. I might be lining one of the salemans pockets here with some extra money for lying basically.
I thought about it like this... The finance is 7.9% which is fine for me, and i will end up bieng charged something like £390 for credit, as where as if you take the £95 into consideration, it makes the apr to be like 10%.0 -
Yeh but did your dad and sister have the cars on finance? If so, i suggest they phone up Ford Credit Europe and get them to check!!!!
They had their own finance matt, i tried to edit my post but i think you saw what i put first of all, its obviously their finance company's charge..
i hope you can get them to waiver it..0 -
Oh i see. Im not really asking them to waiver it. If the fee is £95, then the fee is £95... i cant do nothing about that.
Just a bit annoyed that i was lied too last week by the original salesman i was dealing with when he said it was £10.... or maybe the salesman i spoke to today is lying when he says £95??? Who knows? lol.
Ford credit did say that the £10 fee would be for the lower spec models, and £95 for the higher spec. Which makes me think.... the first salesman i spoke to is most likely to be telling the truth with the £10 fee, as its only a Fiesta Style, and not a Zetec.... which is the top spec Fiesta.0 -
If it's point of principle I'm with you, especially as Ford were saying £10.However, if it's later proved to be human error I wouldn't let it worry me or stop me doing a deal as we are all human and life's too short.0

40 posts per page is what all the cool kids use!"I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0 -
One tip for anyone buying a car on [STRIKE]the drip[/STRIKE] finance - When they have these little added on extra payments on your final monthly payment, phone up one month before your agreement finishes and ask for a settlement figure and pay it off - thus not having to pay any fees on final installments...0
