  • Argh!!!!! Not an MSE day at all!!!!

My oh (who is not into money saving, I have personal debt issues) decided we should go to maccie d's for breakfast.

This was followed by a wander around town, which resulted in purchases in M and S, they're having a home stuff sale, and we bought a coffee table in Pier (also a sale).

Gonna do some laundry and run the dishwasher before going to work, was supposed to hoover the living room floor but that'll wait til tomorrow.

Hugs and loves to all who need and want

    Afternoon all,

    Smoky...hugs

Windy and cold here, but thankfully no snow...yet anyway. Corned beef and cabbage for dinner, soup before, pudding fruit or last couple of hot cross buns, last piece of apple tart, last slices of chocolate cake...not making anything so they can fight it out if necessary.

Baby Aoife is growing apace...will have to do another batch of jackets, cardigans etc before she goes back to the UK in about three weeks time, hopefully passport will be late!!

Nothing exciting happening here for Easter, have just realised that the substitute eggs I planned on getting haven't been done, so early trip out in the morning...hate that, thought that I was all organised.....bah!!!

    Have a happy Easter

It's so cold here, snow, sleet, rain & sun, one after the other. I think Katy is staying under the duvet for the day.
Took hubby to watch Motocross & I got into trouble, I'm working on a crochet square & I forgot to take a tape measure with me, I caused a sensation when I asked if any of the mechanics had anything 8 inches long that I could check my square against!!!
    Hugs Hester

Surely 2 mechanics could've offered 4 inches each to help out ............. screwdrivers ? ;)

Afternoon all ..woke up to a blanket of snow this morning and it looked lovely .It was all gone by lunch time. :snow_laug
Have had a very frustrating day as dh is on nights and with 3 bored kids in the house it drives me mad. They dont understand that they need to keep the noise down. :shhh: And I have a pile of jobs to do because cant do those with him in bed either. He has gone to work now after getting up in a fowl mood and taking it out on me:angry: . What I wouldnt do for some adult conversation instead of him grunting and sulking in the corner:mad: . Complained his tea was bland after he refused to add parmesan to his risotto (dont know why!!) so has gone off without any snap to do a 12 hour shift. I really am at the end of my tether with him:( .....he is so childish with me and the kids. I dont know how much more of this I can take... grrrrrrr!! sorry to moan on but if I dont get it out I will explode and sorry because I know so many are having really hard times.:silenced: Wanted to go to mums to see my brother & family who is visiting ,but I wanted to go tomorrow so we could all go...she made it very clear we weren't invited tomorrow and will have to go monday morning instead ..just before they set off back to bucks ,so I will be lucky to see them for 10 mins. Why does everyone feel its ok to treat me like an inconvenience?

ok rant over sorry to be such a grump! :o:o:o

Hope everyone is having a good easter xx

Oh Bertiebots, that's terrible to be made to feel like an outsider. Would it be possible for your DB to visit you tomorrow or meet up somewhere other than at your mother's house.

Try adding some curry powder to his risotto next time and see if he complains of it being bland then !!

Try to enjoy the rest of your Easter, I'm sending you this :D happy face as it's the only one you don't have on your post.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Hester!!!
Bertiebots (((hugs))), men are just like having an extra child at times. Hopefully he will be in a better mood when he gets back in the morning.

Well for lunch I was not very MSE, I :EasterBunscoffed the best part of one of those gold bunnies till I felt sick, and then tried to make hot cross buns in my geriatric breadmaker!! The result of my cooking was not the highspot of my culinary career, infact DD20 came in and said were they hot cross canonballs!!! (only due to their shape and not texture!!!);)
I think I need more practice on that one!
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most..... ;)
