OS Daily for Saturday 22nd March (that's better!!)

SATURDAY 22nd March OS DAILY
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 22 march. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Am I really the first????? How exciting to be starting today's daily off ... (though if I have blindly looked past another, please tell me!!!)

Wet & windy outside the window this morning, am chilly in bed so have my (fake) fur throw on as well & oldest DD just made me a cuppa :) Nothing much lined up today, just pottering, may do some herby granary rolls with youngest DD but we'll see how the day pans out.....

(((((((hugs)))))))) to those that need them, hope those with colds/flu/feeling urgh start to feel better soon.
Smokey - hope you & the children are getting support/strength from others to keep you going.

Take care all, have a good day.

Morning all - I've been up since silly-o'clock sorting through my huge pile of knitting and crochet patterns and enjoying every minute of it!

    CHURCHMOUSE - :hello: :hello: :hello:

SMOKY - I know it won't be the happiest of Easters for you but I hope you find the time to rest and get some well-deserved sleep. Thinking of you and the LOs.

DONNY-GAL, CSARINA AND MUMZY - I know I shouldn't laugh but I've just been reading your posts from the end of yesterday's thread and the frustration you were all feeling at your various tribulations came right out of the screen! I could just feel it! I hope today is more successful for all of you.

Well, I need to get DH up soon; he's working just for the morning so it gives me chance to get to the wool shop; I thought I had a lot of fiery colours for the blanket squares we are doing but I don't think I have enough of any colour in my stash of oddments to complete one square. I know I could do stripes but I fancy doing a 'dishcloth' pattern all in one colour. Any excuse to buy more wool! I promise I won't be tempted to buy anything else!

Dinner tonight is one of DH's favourites, steak pie, chips and gravy - might sound an odd combination but it's quite tasty! I also need to make him a rice pudding because we seem to have been having chocolate for pudding all this week. He loves rice pud, I don't, so it's a labour of love because he's been working flat out for the last 20 days. Bless, eh? I just love the peace and quiet!

Anyway, off to put the kettle on and get the porridge ready. At least I don't have to make him a packed lunch this morning because he'll be home by lunchtime. Well, he says he will but, as he is working in a care home, they'll feed him if he has to stay on!

Hope everyone has a great day and that all those who have been feeling unwell lately start to feel better.

    See you all later.

    Morning.

It's cold!!! Hail showers and wind. Glad I am not on holiday down here! Not sure what to do today. I spent most of yesterday decorating my son's bedroom. Now we just have to re-assemble the room. I need to clean the carpet too. Borrowing a vax for that.
ASDA sure do have a lot of Easter eggs left. I wonder if they will be reduced tonight?
Well not much else to say... have a Happy Easter

  • Just realised in my excitement I've done the same that some else did & titled the thread the 29th March..... not quite sure why I'm wishing the time away really? Although then that will be the start of over 2 weeks off, so maybe that's it?!?!

    Morning everyone

Babies bottom weather here this morning (wet and windy), think it has nearly stopped ATM but looks naff. Cold too.

Had my "me" time 2 hours (I do what I want while DH stays asleep) so will wake him shortly.

Moiliere - is your DH from "up north" as Steak Pie, Chips and Gravy is a staple up here, probably with mushy peas too. Give over you are making me hungry and I haven't had brekky yet.

Apart from friends of tea, when I was going to do a roast beef dinner, which hasn't been got out of the outside (garage) freezer yet, no other plans made apart from finishing the hemming and pressing up what done.

    (((((hugs)))))

    Good morning everyone,

It's a busy day for us. We're off to see an old friend of mine this morning as she has bought an easter egg for ds. He doesn't eat chocolate, but I think I can give it a good home :D

This afternoon, I'm doing a child swap with next door. Mine hates going out in the wind, their 10 month old baby hates staying in and so do I. Me and the babs will be off out this afternoon while ds plays indoors with their middle son, :j .

In between I will be doing some washing and house cleaning.

Hugs to Smoky, and anyone else who is not feeling good.

    Take care all of you.
