Hi CQ,
There's an earlier thread on doing a first shop at lidl that may help so I've added your thread to it to keep the recommendations together.

i generally only pop to lidl if i see a good bargain on there leaflet's. but a couple of items i buy from there on a regular basis and that is there own version of shreddies and wheatabix. a box of the shreddies are 74p and the wheatabix is 36 for about 79p. these are my kids fav's two boxes of each lasts us a month easy. also recently tried there own coco pop's 79p ( i think )and pecan muesli 89p both were very very nice.0

If you make your own bread the bread flour is only 48p! They do some really good cooked meats and cheese and the pure fruit juice is good value. I think its a matter of trying a lot of the goods yourself to see if you like it .I once got the microwave pop corn and it was so salty it was inedible so avoid that!JAN GC- £155.77 out of £200
FEB GC £197.31 out of £180:o. MARCH GC - out of £200

You might not recognize the brands but most things are well worth tying.
The vanilla ice cream at £2.99 is wonderfulI used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
Good buys at Lidl:
Olive oil. Parmesan cheese. Chocolate. Mustard. Stollen (at Xmas) :xmassmile Saurkraut (if you like that sort of thing, I don't... buerk!) _pale_"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

Hi all
I only occasionally make it to Lidl so this is a great thread.
Do they do good honey? And I see a lot of people recommending their flour - how about yeast?0 -
Hi,
We visted our local Lidl's yesterday, we had spent £45 of our weekly food budget and then worked out how much it would have cost us at mrT. It worked out we would have spent £67, which is a big saving for us. They had some lenor on special which was knocked down from £1.78 ton £1.25, and we are going to give there washing powder ago. Kids loved the chocolate and icecreams. Hubbys does'nt really do the weekly shop but he got stuck right in , picking up the cereal which our kids loved this morning. Will be going back again.
