Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 19 march. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning AMIE - good to hear from you; I hope you are feeling better and that you have a great time in London. You're a knitter aren't you? Check out the OS Knit Your Square to Give Your Share' thread that has been going for a week or so!
I see Martin :money: looks exceptionally handsome this morning! Happy Easter Martin and the team! We'd be lost without you!
Well, despite being cream-crackered last night I could not get to sleep and woke up early so I will be even more tired today! DH is going to work even though it's Good Friday, so it will give me a chance to get the food shopping done and finish my spare room. I've been sorting out all my craft stuff and getting nowhere fast but I have now had the brainwave of moving the furniture round which I think will make it a lot easier to organise. This will be fun because all my Christmas and birthday present stash is under the bed, so that will have to be pulled out first, then I shall have to move the bed and then the rest of the furniture.
SMOKY - thank you for posting last night; it's good to hear from you. Wishing you much strength and love for the coming days.
TWINK - I made hobnobs the other day, plain ones and chocolate, and they have gone down really well. My DGS was SO impressed with them I know they'll have to be a regular item in this house!
CHURCHMOUSE - :hello: :hello: :hello:
Well, I'd better go and get the kettle on again.
See you all later.

Good morning.
I had to go through the logging in process this morning. Could not remember my password, real mess.
Anyway day off and I have my son's bedroom to paint. I have to do it as his things are spread all over the landing and my office. The weather is pants anyway. For anyone who came down on holiday they are not going to have much of a weekend.
I don't think we have much planned... Play it by ear..
Have a nice weekend
Don't forget to change the date when you copy and paste the sticky

Morning Everyone :hello: hussies or not
Hoping you have a nice Good Froday and Easter weekend. This is the one weekend of the year our 'van stays put. The weather is rarely nice (last year was an exception and we were out of the country anyway) the roads are chaotic, and all camp sites are heaving. DS is at his GF's so we are Darby & Joan. Invited friends down for tea on Saturday, we were Sunday School teachers together many moons ago, and we may make it to Church on Sunday, we were infrequent regulars, but had a carp vicar IYKWIM so lapsed a little, but hear that has changed now.
Smokybabe, I hope you see this, as I can see from your post yesterday that you are starting to feel similarly to Stormbay, who's posts caught my eye about 15 months ago, and where the niceness of this thread was mentioned and I read and joined in. She lost her husband suddenly, while young and with young children and there are now others on the thread who are in similar positions. From that Martin started this thread, which has a link to the original thread, an they give support to each other during their dispair, anger, and devastation. I did PM this to you, and Bargain-RZL put the link on here too, so hope you look at it as it will probably match how you are feeling, which we, though totally supportive of you, do not fully understand.:grouphug:
:grouphug:Amie - Hope your cold lets you enjoy the weekend. Anniestar - hope the shingles pain isn't too bad. Pen-Pin - Hope you feel a little better soon. Catznine DH, everyone else, feeling carp, nursing carp family memebers, fed up, alone or who'd just like one :grouphug:
Mioliere wonder if one of our distance ancestors must have had a bike as we also both seem to have the ability to waffle well.:hello:  :embarasse :rotfl::rotfl: :j
Have the hem on one of my trouser legs to sew back, and two pairs of DH's troursers to shorten, some ironing, shopping, Dad to visit, and still haven't tacked the paper mountain. Think may coerce DH into the dusting;) fair exchange don't you think?
Coffee cup now empty so off to grab another. Take care

Hello Possums,
Had a busy day with DGS today. I got everything done I wanted in the kitchen so it's all ready for tomorrow. On Sunday we are all going to the zoo.If I get some nice photo's I'll post them during the week. DD arrived at lunch time. Funny that.
Midsommer Murders are on tonight so will watch that and knit some more. Still doing dishcloths atm as I haven't gone to the mainland to get more wool.
Hugs to those poorly especially Smokybabe. Thank you for posting. You are all in our thoughts. It was quite warm here today. Our neighbours are back for Easter.
Have a Good FridayByeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
hello everyone!

today I must food shop, the cupboards are very bare and so is my bank account. hangs head in shame...we had McDonalds for tea last nightSo todays shopping will be Aldi, Asda...and back to home cooking.
thinking of all those who are poorly and special mention for Smoky. I read last nights post, and my heart just goes out to you. :heart2:x x x0 -
Good morning,
I hope that eveyone suffering from colds/flu/ear infections and anything else horrible gets better soon.
It's sunny here, but very windy, so I don't think we'll be doing much outside. The little person doesn't like high winds - he's little and skinny, so I think that maybe he thinks he will blow away.
Smoky, (((hugs))). You know we're all thinking of you, and wishing you strength for the things that you will have to deal with in the next few days and weeks.
Take care all of you, and enjoy your chocolate.0 -
Morning
First day of the school break and we're all up ridiculously early due to this being a mad house. Between the cat and 2 daughters I have one set of stairs and 2 beds to clean after my coffee.
Smoky... Thanks again for posting. I meant what I said. xxx
Aussie. Have a great day with the littlest Aussie.
I may be backwhen my eyelids will stay up all by themselves. :cool:0
