    Hi Sharon ...

Mine dont seem to last longer than a day but thanks for the tip of the keep fresh tub.

I wonder if you have any recipes for olive bread, after the disaster with the breadmaker recipes and yours working everytime..... even when Im in a rush and just throw everything in lol

My dad has just bought some olives and sun dried tomatoes so I need a recipe

    Claire

    Hi Claire

I have just found one for Sun Dried Tomatoes and Cep Loaf.

Yep, I wondered what the hell Cep was too, seems they are some kind of mushroom. Perhaps you can just change the Ceps for olives.

Here it is for a small loaf:

10g Cep mushrooms (perhaps change this to olives?)
    200ml/7fl oz warm water
    375g white bread flour
    1½ tsp salt
    1 tbsp sugar
    25g/1oz butter
    1 tsp yeast
25g/1oz well drained sun dried tomatoes in olive oil

Put water in, the flour and other ingredients as normal.

When machine beeps add chopped tomatoes

Use normal setting, medium crust, small loaf.

It says to add the tomatoes when the machine beeps (when you normally add seeds etc) or during the last 5 mins of the kneading cycle.

Says if the dough looks too soft after adding the tomatoes add a tablespoon or two of extra flour.

Sorry Claire, not sure what size they are for but that loaf tin looks a lot bigger than the one that I have so I think they may be big loaves.

I haven't eaten much bread for months and lost about half a stone just by cutting out bread but it has all gone back on since I started making it.

    :)

Next time you are in town take a look in the charity shops for bread making books. I got mine with another two books, 3 for £1, it's this one:

Did it turn out ok then Claire?

I haven't made anything in mine using extras, keep meaning too but we are a bit limited.

Our daughter wouldn't eat big seeds and my husband hates olives.

Glad that it turned out ok.

If you want me to look for any more recipes give me a shout, I'll look in the book for you.

It wasn't a bad buy for 33p was it.

    ;)
