Anyone got a Tesco Bread Maker?

My friend was going to try and get a Morphy Richards bread maker off ebay but lost out on the bidding. She doesn't want to pay a lot in case she doesn't like home made bread.
I have just seen a Tesco branded bread maker on their site and was wondering if any members have this model.
It looks quite good for the price, has an automatic nut and raisin dispenser, makes 3 sizes of loaf and has 11 settings.
It does mention a Panasonic cookery advice line so I wonder if it is made for Tesco by Panasonic.

Wow that looks a bargain. If i'd seen that a few weeks ago i would likely have bought that instead of my panasonicA male chef of 4. My restaurant is always full and i don't need to tout for business.
OK OK I'm a house husband but it did sound better my way :beer:0 -
My panasonic rapid bake mode takes 1hr 55 minutes just like that one. With it having a panasonic helpline and a nut dispenser it sounds like it probably is from them.
I would be very interested in finding out what this is like as my Panasonic is starting to become old (but still works well).Lets get this straight. Say my house is worth £100K, it drops £20K and I complain but I should not complain when I actually pay £200K via a mortgage:rolleyes:0 -
I hate to dissappoint you but unfortunately this BM has nothing to do with Panasonic and is not the specification on the Tesco website.
It has no automatic raisin/nut dispenser and does not have as many programmes as the site states.
After I saw this BM on the Tesco website I went to my local Tesco to get one and discovered these differences.
I spoke to Tesco HO who agreed that the wrong blurb was on the website and that they would take it off but as this was 2 weeks ago they're obviously not too bothered!xxx Nikki xxx0 -
I'm going to be really p1ssed off if it doesnt have a nut/seed dispenser etc. Grrr. I dont mind if it isnt made by Panasonic, but i would at least like it to have all the features it states on the websiteThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

What features DOES it have because it is a great price at £24.99? I just rang Tescos to ask about the features and they insisted that the description on the site is correct!Jane

Ooh Blimey now you're asking - it was 2 weeks ago!!
As far as I can remember there was definitely no dispenser, it had 6 programmes (i think), it had a viewing window, can't remember for sure but think it had an 'add ingredients signal'.
Have to say I got some very strange looks when I was in Tesco cos I had the entire BM out of the box to look properly at it!! Needless to say my 14 yo son ws highly embarrassed!!xxx Nikki xxx0 -
If you look at the features sections of both the Tesco BM and the Panasonic 255 on the Tesco website then the information appears to have been copied and pasted from the Panasonic to the Tesco BM.xxx Nikki xxx0
