If your having problems, take a look at:

I know it's for panasonic but the same bacis faults happen.Lets get this straight. Say my house is worth £100K, it drops £20K and I complain but I should not complain when I actually pay £200K via a mortgage:rolleyes:0 -
I have the morphy richards and i have a problem with the kneading blade. it's always stuck in the bottom of the loaf so that i have to cut off the bottom crust and have to prise it out, leaving a hole in the middle of the next slice.
So any good tips would be appreciated folks...:j0 -
When you remove the pan from the bread maker, do you try and shake it loose straight away?
Try leaving for 5 minutes and the bread shrinks and it's much easier.Lets get this straight. Say my house is worth £100K, it drops £20K and I complain but I should not complain when I actually pay £200K via a mortgage:rolleyes:0 -
Yes have tried that. even tried basting oil on it to keep it greasy when i start the bread baking0

mine has got stuck before but I find it prizes out quite easily when the loaf has cooled down. The "hole" doesn't really bother me - reminds me that my bread is homemade, however perhaps the paddle is a bit smaller on the Tesco BM?

I have been using my MILs old breville Bm and have been quite disappointed by the results. On medium the top was ok but the bottom was over done so I tried it on light - bottom ok but top anaemic . Since then Iv just used the dough setting and made rolls for us instead. Im hoping its the BM so iv just ordered a panasonic and am waiting for it to arrive. Everyone with a panny does seem to love it and to be honest im thinking of buying bread again as ther breville is rubbish - so maybe the panny will stop me from eatting shop bread again!!"With no money you start to discover your own inner resource" GK Chesterton2 adults, 3 children0

well as we speak there is 30 mins left to run on yet another bread making session
I had a ready-mix granary packet and I followed the instructions on the back and not my manual, plus I didn't add quite so much water.
well this one came out spot-onLovely texture and good size loaf - just like shop bought, however it was ready-mix - I just used less water.
I'd still like to make a loaf from ingredients. I have strong white and wholemeal flour, dried fast-acting yeast at home - does anyone have any good fool-proof bread recipies for a BM? I'd like wholemeal preferably0 -
I have a MR and don't use any of the recipes that you get in the manual as they all call for loads of sugar and I don't use milk powder either.
Here are a couple of recipes that I tried this week and they came out fine, get your mum to try these:
Small Basic White
210ml water
375g white bread flour
1½ teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
25g/1oz butter (spread etc)
1 teaspoon fast action yeast
Small loaf, pale, programme 1 (Basic white)
Small Brown Loaf
280ml water
250g brown bread flour
125g white bread flour
1½ teaspoon granulated sugar
1½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon fast action yeast
I set it to small loaf, light colour and programme 1(Basic white)
I had to register to say thanks for these two recipes.... I went out last week after reading this thread at a friends and I bought a breadmaker.... The recipe book witht he breadmaker is hopeless.... I use these two recipes all the time and in a week have doe 10 white and 12 brown loaves.... for myself and my mum:money:

Brill!
I prefer the brown ones than the white, they seem to be lighter in my bread maker than the white ones.
I'm glad that they turned out for you.
I tend to only make the small ones as I still buy white bread for toast (our 9 year old doesn't like homemade bread toasted) so a small brown lasts us a couple of days.
I bought one of those klip fresh food containers from Tesco (the 2.4ltr one) for £3.50 and the small loaves fit into these perfectly. Mine keep in this for at least 3 days.
If you want the recipes for the large loaf send me a pm and I will send you the details.

I wonder if you have any recipes for olive bread, after the disaster with the breadmaker recipes and yours working everytime..... even when Im in a rush and just throw everything in lol
My dad has just bought some olives and sun dried tomatoes so I need a recipe
