Aimee sorry to hear he's been fired, fingers crossed he finds something soon and doesn't turn into a PITA
(but to be honest I think they all do in a way :rotfl: )
Chasing Butterflies, that sounds like something I'd do, didn't think B&Q would be open....
Beef dinner was mmmmm and I even made DP a giant yorkie for started, because he fixed my TDwell so far it seems to be fixed. He must have got sick of either the washing being draped everywhere, my moaning or both. Anyway looked at a few thingies online about the codes, took it to bits, did a few things inc resetting thermostats etc (ewwww I cleaned some of the fluffiness out of the inside) and it works
I've used it once and no error codes. Even if this is a temp fix it suits me, as long as it lasts until the weather gets better!!! I'll save up by then to get it fixed. So pleased he's handy when it comes to electricals etc.
Anyway, DW is now on, all the laundry is now dry, eek, that means 3 basket fulls to put away as it's all been dried at onceso that will be tonights mission aswell as moving the sofas (which keep the understair cupboard shut) and having a look in there (which could take a while as there is so much stuff) for our previous course books. Not going to be able to do this assignment without them as there is very little in these books about what the assignment is about because this course is an additional part it would seem to the last, argh, no wonder I was finding it tricky. Right ok, rambled enough about that.

Oh poop was going to take poor doogie out now the snows melted but its snowing again.
And looking at whats left on my list I really didnt do well did I !Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
I am freezing!! We've had snow, sleet and drizzle here most of the day, but none of it staying, thank goodness. No-one here tempted to go outside, except me to church. I was late as well, as I had to wait for the lemon meringue to finish before I could leave.
My three have one egg each - and I exact a chocolate tax - they have to give me a piece every time they have some!!:D
Thank you to everyone for the hugs and support. Very much appreciated. I feel much better now that Mum is in a really nice home, with staff who are attentive. I'm still really angry with the way that the system currently works - in case you didn't know, the NHS have to fund continuing care completely if the prime needs are medical. Otherwise, it's social services and using the patient's money. Of course, neither side want to use up their budget, so they are arguing over it. Mum ended up spending an extra two months in hospital because of it, and they only agreed to transfer her because my sister made an official complaint.
This morning the vicar talked about people being treated as 'statistics, numbers, consumers' rather than what they are, all very special individuals. And this seems to be what they forget. My sister has dealt with them more than me, and always says to them 'Well, if it were your mum, is this what you would want for her?' We are thinking of taking this further, if we have the energy, because it isn't just mum. There are several wards full of elderly, vulnerable patients like her - and in just this one hospital.
boddy - that must be very hard to cope with, and without very much support from other family either.
nikki - your DD is gorgeous!!
lil-me - I've read your confessions on the other thread. My, I'm shocked. And I've always looked up to you. (All this said tongue in cheek - there doesn't seem to be a suitable smilie!) I'm right on your side with the ironing. I had to iron two shirts for work last week, and had to ask OH how to use the steam iron. I think he bought it about four years ago, and I've probably used it twice. I have removed two items from the stuff behind the sofa though. Quite enough flying for an Easter Sunday I think.
dusty - what are you ordering from Sarah Raven? I find her dreadfully expensive. I've just bought some flower seeeds that she recommended, but from the garden centre and saw on her leaflet that she is selling 10 seedlings for £8-50! I got three packets for far less than that.
I'm going to book eurotunnel now - trip to France at the end of the Easter holiday. Just hope that DD won't be too jetlagged, as she comes back from India very late on the Thursday. I think she'll find the temperature change a bit of a shock. It's between 35 and 45 at the moment!! We've now got the list of things we need to know, and among the guidance on clothes, the head suggests that loose clothing in light natural fibres is best - silk is ideal!! Has he tried buying anything in silk in this town in March?? I think she'll be able to buy silk stuff out there easily and very much cheaper - I've already requested a sari! We've bought all linen and cotton.
pigpen - are your children home then next week? Mine have another two weeks of school - well, so do I actually! I think I'll copy the list and save it for the holiday, they'll need something to do.:D
I hope that you've all had a very happy Easter Sunday. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

She only has ex's side of the family ones, 1 left up at his parents, 1 from the Easter Bunny, and an egglet one from me (since she got the DVD
) but she's still got plenty and more to come from my side tomorrow when we go to see them :
Looks like rice-crispy cakes will get made at some point, or chocolate covered somethings.;)
If shes REEEEEEEEEEEEAAAALLLLLYYYY struggling to get through them all im sure being the little sweetie she is she wont mind sharing with her cousin...bump! Granted that means me having to eat them to get to bump... but we all have to make sacrifices in our lives:rotfl:
(sorry i havent been to my mums yet and so have not got my easter egg yet and not got any choccy at all in the house- feels so wrong not to be eating choccy for my 3 meals a day on easter sunday :rotfl: )

I had my first job at 12 working on Saturdays in a local holiday flats doing the changeover. I also worked as a chambermaid in my parents' hotel every morning. My sister was a waitress at our hotel at about 13. It was quite normal here to start summer jobs at that age. In fact when I was at school you could leave at 14 and work full time (and we are only talking just over 30 years ago). The law was changed not long after because so many children were forced by their parents to leave without any qualifications so that they could "bring a wage in", without any thought to their long-term futures.
Any work experience obtained now will stand your son in good stead for when he finallly gets a permanent job.
I hope he enjoys it!0
