Why is today dragging?
I thought it was about 4pm
Oh well, wash load number 3 in, dishes washed except for the plates/cutlery & casserole dish which are all now in to soak. DD has finished watching Indiana Jones and is now watching Stardust which I got her for Easter. Going to go and make us some lunch now, chicken kievs, salad potatoes and fall out veg (whatever falls out the freezer or fridge
), might have some ice-cream for pudding but I think DD has consumed enough sugar already :rotfl:
*wanders off to see whats in the freezer*Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Question for pigpen
Do you make your 16yr old do any work outside of the house, just panicking because I've got laddo (15 nearly 16) some work for the holidays with his grandad and now feeling guilty as he's being picked up at 6.10am a week mon :eek:Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Happy Easter everyone.
Well, not much done here today, DD and her BF popped in they're 20 and 26, gave them an egg and a Boots gift set each which I bought in the sales purposely for this. DS 16 has eaten his egg, he's having a PS3 game also but it's not due out till April. He's not had a good couple of months so it will be a pressie for him, this is not a regular occurance mind.
DS, one of his friends and DH have just gone out on a hunt too but unlike your little ones it's not an easter egg hunt
It's a hunt the glass lens hunt, DH went over the field with the puppy last night, tripped over her, hit his face on the ground, thought he'd lost part of his eye sight in one eye but he'd lost the lens from his glasses. Oh dear me, men!
He put a stick in the ground because it was too dark to look, I think it will be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Anyway all have a lovely day and enjoy your chocolate - I didn't have any eggs but then I hardly look thin and bad either so probably a good thing.0 -

Oh my Soappie we are twins - lamb and veg also done (eaten here) I had a lunch time drinkey to get through visitors and I made my own mint sauce (as we didn't have any - never done that before but remember my grandmother doing it). Difference being I love chocolate and have started my egg - bit disappointing - nestle one and min 25% coco solids so not actually very chocolately. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Beef dinner done here and eaten.
Fridge cleaned after we fetched meat from the abbattoir yesterday and DH put it on the top shelf. I didn't realise until this morning, by which time blood had trickled all the way down the insides. Luckily, most of the stuff was in sealed packets because we only went shopping yesterday so I've just washed the packets but i have had to throw some stuff away.
DH has gone to the pub so he's eating his dinner when he gets back.
Hope everyone is having a good day - I might just be tempted to have some of my Easter egg for pudding the same as the kids are doing!
