Right, I'm finally calming down enough to contemplate going to bed. Thanks for the wine Dusty - I enjoyed it.
I'm just hoping tomorrow won't be too expensive with the car - but maybe that's where my savings are supposed to go...

Good evening, busy day busy day.
Right, first issue, bins. I emailed the council who sent a reply stating the notice was in with the council tax bill, I emailed back explaining that was great, but it only arrived this morning as did everyone elses!!!! I got a reply back apologising and saying they are calling hopefully tomorrow if not by Saturday to collect the ones they missed because of the bills being sent late! Quick dash round the neighbours who's bins were missed to let them know. Good news is from April they are collecting plastics and cardboard!!! Wohooo!!! No more tip runs with cardboard and some way at last to recycle plastics (we don't even have a tip collection for this) which DP says I am sad to be excited about but hey, that's me.
Parents evenings, well I couldn't be more pleased with the boys progress!!! I am so pleased we moved when it comes to DS2 as his numeracy, literacy and self esteem is vastly improved. They brought in something, a large 'coat' made from patches of dyed material he'd helped make (using a sewing machine, with supervision) and spent all afternoon helping to put it together to show everyone, proud Mam moment. He is no longer classed as having 'severe learning difficulties' as he was in his previous school. Just shows what difference school can make. DS1s now showing great progress with everything which is great. I could have cried with happiness instead of sadness when I came home which was the feeling I was always left with after parents evenings when they were at the other school.
AGM went ok, meeting went ok but loads to sort out, will work on that later.
Housework :rotfl: well I got vacuumed through, cleaned the kitchen, cleaned the sitting room, did 2 loads of laundry and one dishwasher load so that'll have to do as I am all 'meeting'd out' and very tired.
Oh and somehow got talked into volunteering to help in my sons school......but will also help me in experience for when my degree is finished.
Car tax, my little 1.6 is going up £35 a year to tax...............my partners car being a pre 1996 will be cheaper to tax than my little 1.6 by 2010 (his is 2.3), my 4.0 4x4 I traded in would also have been cheaper to tax.........wish I'd kept the thing in a way but hey ho.
Hope you are all ok, not had much of a chance to read through. A message from the Boardguides about a very sad loss of one of our fellow OS ladies, my thoughts as posted are with smokybabe and the children at this very sad time http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=805121One day I might be more organised...........

Hope you're feeling better this morning soappie.
Thanks Julie, I am. Amazing what a night's sleep can do - I'm calmer and just thankful that, actually, everything went quite smoothly.
And this morning the sun is shining beautifully so I shall use my unexpected day off doing some housework (unless I can find some Work work to do from home).I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning flyers.
Feel better after a good sleep. Thought I would get a good start on the kitchen. Im out later shopping with daughter as she needs something to wear for a funereal. Her ex partner was found dead on Sunday.
Soappie A horrendous experience for you and quite scary. Glad you eventually got it sorted. Hope you are feeling ok today.
lil_me Thats good news about the boys. Sounds like they are making excellent progress. Bet you are glad your bins are sorted. Your council sounds like mine.
