    Evening all,

I am in again after surviving my hen weekend, didnt go to the doctors on Friday (didnt want antibiotics for the weekend) so was reckoning that with all the drink, talking and late nights my throat would be wrecked and that I would be going today but it has worked dont know if it was kill or cure but its def better today still dont have much of a voice but its not as painful.

Have read through the thread and as usual I have forgotten half of what I was goin to type but -
welcome all newbies & welcome back mumoftwo

lil_me - I would complain if I was you I wouldnt be able to cope if my bin wasnt emptied I often have to put a bag or two in next doors (they are a retired couple who never have very much rubbish fortunately)

pigpen - justified in your rant & compaining re cancelled appointment and thanks for the early heads up for tomorrows list, I came home from work to print off todays and found tomorrows as well so I will combine both.

mudbath - re books for DD's mine is 9 and is starting to develop as yet she hasnt mentioned anything bu I was starting to think about getting in some books for when she does more as a back up of what we said to her to let her take them and read through when she was on her own. So everyone else that had suggestions many thanks from me too.

We have had to put our house back on the market for those who understand the scottish market our buyers were stalling over signing of the missives and as we are moving in 6 weeks our solicitor advised us to re market it and start taking viewers again, the couple who offered still have their offer with us but unless they agree to sign the missives soon someone else may get in before then. So we are back to having a tidy house - unfortunately I have already started packing so do have some boxes about but they are all in a corner of a room and I AM NOT unpacking them.

Going to sort out my list and post that, and then go for some telly.

Tracy Maybe that is the reason she didn't look after her own children.. maybe she doesn't want, doesn't like to and feels she has done her bit and didn't like it then.. My mother is the same.. she wouldn't look after my children unless it was an absolute emergency.. though if I needed her to take me somewhere or do something for me she would.. but she would rather shoot herself in the limbs than look after the children. It isn't that she doesn't love the children she may feel overwhelmed by them.. or just not like the idea.. that doesn't sound like it is meant to.. but my tummy is full of pie and I can't think properly.. lol

    Evening everyone.

Glad todays over and Im off for the next two. The clients have been very vocal and active today. Lots of flying done though. We work 12 and a half hour shifts and have our meals with the clients. So we dont have a break from them. Plus the phone has rang none stop.

Got a lift home and as we came to a zebra crossing a cat walked across it. The cat just looked at us and we couldnt do anything for laughing.

No flying tonight as Im going to get tucked up with my book and a cuppa. Normal flying service will resume tomorrow. So hugs to everyone and hello to any newbies. Night night flyers.

    Evening everyone.

Oh dear Tracy - maybe you need to go into the back garden and SCREAM! you might feel better - failing that - lots of alcohol!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I work evenings at M&S to make ends meet and avoid the childcare issue - tiring but I love being around for the children in the day. Staff discount is an added bonus too!

Dustykitten - is it the Wilmslow NCT sale you're doing? If so, I may be there too. (purchaser not seller).

OK, still need to get my act together and put the toys away in the lounge - think I may hoover tomorrow though (sorry Pigpen) *hangs head in shame*
but I have already cleaned my hob, and bits of the kitchen.

Evening all .... phew, finally caught up with today's musings.

    Hugs to everyone ... unconditionally.

This evening has been a bit of a success really in the land of Zed :)

I took one look at DD's room (aged 4) this morning and almost screamed. Enough was enough, she is not going to become her father ... a total hoarder of absolute carp ..... so tonight after dinner I sent the pair of them in there to sort it out. The result? 2hrs hard labour, a lot of soul searching ... and a carrier bag full of rubbish, a bin full of rubbish and a box full of rubbish ... :j:j:j. Oh and totally found the floor, re-organised the bookshelves (not quite to my OCD standards, but getting there), filed all toys away, dusted windowsills, repaired curtains which she'd managed to pull down this morning whilst attempting to open them (I only swung on them mummy ....), dusted fireplace, dusted skirting boards ... not sure about wardrobe, hoovered floor and changed bedlinen .... so one of the lists has to be almost done at some point, eh PigPen??!!

Whilst that was occurring, I did the ironing, put it away, dusted our bedroom, hoovered it, hoovered the bathroom, hoovered my office, dusted that too .... swept the stair carpets by hand, hoovered the hall (top / middle / bottom), dusted the snug (in place of the living room, which I don't currently have), hoovered the snug, hoovered the dining room / utility room and kitchen .... and put a load of washing on.

Do I get a dog biscuit ..purlease (pref a low fat, low cal one, I need wine!!)

Right now to look at the lists and see what little of them I've achieved, but pleased, cos without this thread to motivate me, I'd have probably done sod all :rotfl:

Don't worry, flying tomorrow is limited, I'm out all day and my aim is to go to the gym in the evening (for which I'm sure I ought to earn at least 2 dog biscuits!)

As for the peeps who've mentioned running .... I've only recently decided to try this venture out, I looked up (googled) C25K (Couch to 5k) and it brought up a whole load of training programmes, which basically combine walking/running and building your stamina up .. working for me .... good luck :)

    Just managed to catch up.

I've been working today, so only done a minimal fly in the kitchen - cleaned the sink, washed all the teatowels/tablecloths etc, polished the table, and washed the floor. I usually zip over the worktops a couple of times during the day, and I'm not cleaning the oven until I absolutely have to.

    (((summermoon)))

(((tracy))) how old is your son? I'm hoping it won't be very long until he's at either nursery or school, and you have a couple of hours freed up, where you could work. I was lucky enough to find gardening for people who were very flexible over days, so that if the children were ill, I could swap days around, and I only worked term times from when DS2 went to school. I've only very recently returned to my 'proper' work!! I did do a fair amount of volunteering for the NCT, which meant I had plenty of women I met and worked with, as well as social stuff. It doesn't suit everyone though. Meantime, we're always here!!

tia - you could study just for the sake of it, if you're interested. Although there must be masses of things you could do with sciences.

:hello:to arwenelf - you may have noticed that this is an exceptionally friendly and supportive thread!
Hi to all the other newbies and returners!

AnW's mum - how are you doing this week? I have daffodils AND purple tulips this week!

michelle - you sound much happier today! Not long to go now...
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be

I use Bupa training schedule - definately worked for me - when I first started 2 years ago I was nearly collapsing after 30 seconds running! I did stop running after I did Manchester 10K in May 06 when I was 10 weeks pregnant with DD2 and didn't go back to it properly until January this year. Now I'm signed up for 2 x 10K's this year! Who knows, maybe even 1/2 marathon for 2009?!?!?!

Ok - nuff chat, more action - still not put toys away in the lounge.:naughty: Naughty me!
