Barclaycard limit is £4100, in husband's name. Said we wanted to BT £5000 on application form, (maybe that is why they did not give us higher limit).
Have £16,500 limit on MBNA, with £13,500 debt at 0%.This was transferred from Egg CC, when 0% interest ended. Their limit was £15,000.
    Salary around £52,000
    Hope this helps

  • HI there

Got a credit limit of £3.5k from Barclaycard which is lower than another card I already have from my bank and even Egg who automatically gave me £5k despite having no previous dealings with me.
Incidentally, as part of first direct's £25 account opening deal, they offered me a credit card with £2.1k limit.

Prefer to keep my salary to myself.

    Cheers

  • I applied for a platinum Barclaycard as soon as Martin advised the offer was available online.

    1. £30k per annum
    2. Only on credit cards (and mortgage)
    3. £6,200
    4. Egg Blue (£9,800)
    5. Requested £3000 transfer on application form

I called Barclaycard once to get card activated and once to perform balance transfer and set up direct debit. Both times got through very quickly and they were very efficient. (Unlike American Express where you get put through to a call centre in India and there is to say the least a bit of a language barrier!!) :)

    Rough salary - 66k
Outstanding debts - roughly 1k, but manipulated balances to 5k for balance transfer
    Barclaycard limit - £1,250!
    Biggest limit - smile 7k
Other factors - just moved house after a year in Nottingham, so only resident for one month, although i lived at current address previously for 2 years and previous one to that 25 years, so should be traceable!

    Stingy gits!

Applied B/card offer £2500 limit, refused to take up offer thought it would be better to wait until egg cards are running out!

    salary gross £33000

    existing cards

Egg x 2 total limits £12500 - both on 0% anniversary 5 months, offsetting against IF mortgage

Abbey card limit £5000 - also offsetting against mortgage.

Tesco flower Visa card limit £4800
    Tesco platinium M/card limit £6000

Neither Tesco cards are used for B/transfers, only monthly purchases, these I clear each month to avoid interest but gain clubcard points.
Clubcard points paid for my recent two week villa holiday in south of France, including ferry travel. Should have cost £2200!

    5. if there are any complications that may skew how relevant this is for others, please note.
    - House move in December 2003, perhaps not on electoral roll before applying.
    - Also, applied for the MBNA and Barclaycard 0% Deals on the same day so the credit search for each may not have shown up for the other.
