Hi Sahararose - what a lovely name! Welcome to you. If you look at the very first post on this thread, all the info is there as well as all the addresses. The Innocent Smoothie hats we're just knitting until Sainsbury's launch their next campaign; we can all just hang on to the ones we make. If you register with the 'Innocent' site (see Pink's post above mine) they'll let you know when the campaign starts. If I was you, I'd print off the first post. There's just one point; for anyone making 7" squares for OECS (info in the first post), we are not sending any to Naomi at the moment because her baby is almost due but there are four or five other addresses we can send them to. Also, Sahararose - please join us on our Yahoo site http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/Wooligan/.

Pink, thanks for posting the info.

Well, I haven't been near my needles or crochet hooks today; I've been busy doing payroll, banking, shopping and getting my hair cut. The shopping has just been put away (I hate that job!) and I am sat here enjoying a cuppa. The weather here is fantastic -I hope it is for everyone else. The forecast for the bank holiday and next week is, apparently but don't quote me, hot and sunny!

    See you all later.

I sent my first package off to loving hands yesterday--11 superstretchy hats and the square i'd done it weighed 247grms so cost £1.48 to post. (the 12th hats would have bumped it into the next price band s i held that back till next times package.;) . anything over 25mm thick and under 250Grms is this price

I'm doing a corner to corner square for my niece at the mo i brough 2 100g balls of soft dusky rose pink chunky wool years ago (cant remember what for) my youngest son has asked me really nicely if he goes to bed on time every night will i have time to knit him a green square (ive got 2x100grm balls of green in my stash so ive said yes)
BTW corner to corner squares really knit up quickly they are great to do while watching tv etc as you dont need to think, i knitted 70grms of the first ball last night!
Then i'll crack on with baby bits and smoothie hats again.

well done everyone the totals are coming up brilliantly

Mrs Moneypenny - your DSD sounds really sweet, bless him! I posted 15 hats today and it cost £1.48 - I squashed the packet flat and put tiny holes in the envelope with a sewing needle which lets more air out! I'm going to start crocheting some bootees next but, in between, I'm still finishing of the little doll - I need to post that tomorrow if I can!

Sahararose - I have approved you to join the Wooligans so welcome to that!

    See you all later.

Hi Jellybeans - you're up early! Thanks for the update - I shall add your two hats to the totals. I've printed off the 'tea cosy' hat pattern but have not tried it yet - I'll give it a go! It's great that we have newbies joining us, isn't it? I think we're up to 41 members at the moment!

I hope you have a great weekend!

The first figures are for the STC (Save the Children) hats and the second is for the (IS) Innocent Smoothie hats which we can do in readiness for the go ahead of Sainsbury's next campaign.

Hi Mioliere - I'm still feeding my addiction and have done another baby hat so that's a total of 6 from me. The lap-rug I am doing is coming on really well, I've worked almost half of my 400g ball of wool so far so it shouldn't take too long to complete.:T :T That's a big hole made in my stash.

  • hi folks, you are all doing so well with the hats, I can't wait to have a go at some too!!
HI Mioliere, it seems like ages since we were here, although I can see you have been here all the time lol!!
I wanted to let you know that I have finished one of the smokelets' boys blankets and am half way through assembling the little girls blanket.I'm hoping to post a pic on the yahoo site tomorrow.
I do have a teeny problem tho....I am still waiting for 19 squares to be sent to me, without them I can't finish all the blankets, can the few wooligans who haven't yet sent me their squares please try to send them as soon as they can???
sorry to keep asking but I really want to get the blankets finished.
if anyone needs my address again please don't hesitate to PM me.
thanks folks and enjoy your bank holiday weekend, lets hope it isn't a wet one!!
