Proud to be a Wooligan0 -
MrsMP - OECS take photos of the blankets they have sewn together because you can see them on their website. I'll ask them if they'll take one of ours and mention us! It would be great to see it completed and to think that someone will benefit from our efforts despite us being scattered here, there and everywhere!
I've been looking at the stuff my Mum sent me and found a site called www.lovinghands.org.uk which has lots of charities that need handmade things and lots of patterns to download, plus links to other sites with yet more patterns. We could change the world, us Wooligans, or at least make some lives better with our skills. What a fantastic thought.
I wonder how Martyn is getting on - probably on his second or third square by now!
KathyKNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:
Squares: 11, Animal blankets: 20 -
ive just pressed my 2 squares for smoky and will be posting them off tomorrow.
slight problem with two of the squares ive knitted for the other blanket they are nearer 9 inches now they are pressed BUT ill knit two more and not add them to the total (im already half way through one) so we are still on track, ill get my first batch of those posted off on monday.
It was my own fault id gone for an ambitious patch work sqaure of two different colours and one wool was a looser knit than the other. all is not lost they can go to the other giant charity blanket appeal.
is that ok moiliere? (if you can make sense of it)SPC~12 ot 124

MrsMP - I have pm'd you re the squares and yes, I could understand your post! I've just had to pull down a square I have started, again for being too ambitious! I have gone for a much simpler design with a four-leaf clover right in the middle. I don't see how I can get that wrong but we'll see! I think the other charity appeal will be ideal for any squares that turn out to be 9" - at least they won't go to waste and won't have to be unpicked!

Well I did promise that if we were allowed to keep the thread I'd knit a square for charity. So true to my word, I bought some size 8s today. 50p in a charity shop. Looking for wool now.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

Thanks, GinghamRibbon - that's great! Those needles were a bargain - the last time I looked at new ones, they were nearly £3 a pair!

You are doing an excellent job. Squares so far = 5. Have just seen the addresses to post to thank you. :A0 -
Hi Kathy, I think Martyn could be knitting himself an awning extension, so he can have all of his friends from OS thread visit him

Hi:hello: I've had my grandchildren staying with me over the Easter Holiday and they are here until next Tuesday so progress has been somewhat hampered. I have been crocheting (for speed) every time we have been out in the car (I'm not the driver I hasten to add!) and have almost completed my third square. I have seen the address to send them to and hopefully will be able to get them off sometime next week.
Many thanks to mioliere for all the hard work put into this project.
PS Do you think Martyn will be OK with his sticks?
