Knit Your Square To Give Your Share -IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ THIS POST FIRST!!!

Hi everyone!

Maytaurus - once again you have found something great to share with us! Thank you so much for posting.

Gingernutmeg - I'm just about to update with your hats! Didn't get round to it last okver the weekend!

Ianna - I think we all have things like that! I started a crochet blanket a couple of months ago and it has been shoved in a bag. I picked what I thought was an easy pattern but made it too long in the first place so it needs to be quite wide to make it look right and it's taking forever to do! I keep wondering whether to perservere or to unpick it but a lot of work has gone in to it!

I have one more bunting to add to my totals.



The first figures are for the STC (Save the Children) hats and the second is for the (IS) Innocent Smoothie hats which we can do in readiness for the go ahead of Sainsbury's next campaign.

back from my holidays now and didnt come on much last week as DH was off work. hes gone back today.
ive finished my boob for the pimp my boob, sewn the jumper/tanktop together i was doing and embroidered my square for Lou. So the only thing i still have on needles is a blanket square for youngest DS.
must get next project on the go.

Hi Mrs Moneypenny - you've been busy! Did you ask for a square for Lou because I've asked on the forum and twice in pms and haven't had the square sent to me! Perhaps you could let me know the size of the square and I'll dig out some fabric from my stash - I don't want to 'miss the boat' so to speak and not be able to contribute. I think some of the Loving Handers have used their own fabric so that's what I'll do! Also, my Mum wants to make a square so I can let her know and she can use her own fabric. She has enough to stock a large haberdashery and still keeps buying it!

I have just finished another bunting and I will start on another vent hat and then I want to get a couple of Christmas pressies made. Also, I'm not sure if you will know by now but the Innocent Smoothie campaign has now been officially launched so we can send in our little hats. I thought most of us had asked to be informed of its launch by email but we just found out because one of the Wooligans posted on hear to let us know! I think the closing date is 17th October.

Kathy ive just taken mine out of the envelope and measured it for you, its 7 inches square and is pale pink cotton, you need to leave a 1nch clear border all round for sewing together.
ive just embroidered Mrs MoneyPenny on mine with a flower at the side.
i've got the addy of where the squares need sending ill pm it to you

Did you every get a reply to where the pimped boobs need sending to? i saw you posted that question a while back.

i must look for the addy to send my IS hats off, thanks for telling me its all go on that one

Hi. I'll update your IS totals when I update towards the end of the day, Mrs Moneypenny. I still haven't received a square for Lou so I will have to use my own fabric; I wonder if it has to be pale pink - is that the colour they sent you? I think I might see if 'Sue' has an email address because pm'ing her isn't working!

my square was pale pink cotton, there was a list of colours used on a lh thread

i've taken this from there

it can be tarted up as you want all that is needed is 1/2 inch no make it 1 inch clear all round. the colour you get will depend on which bit I pick up hope that is okay, so far I have
lilac
pink
yellow
palish blue

Mrs Moneypenny - Wilmasart on LH has kindly pm'd me Sue's email address (Sue is Suzanne, by the way!). When I checked my 'sent' box it was empty so, for some reason, she hasn't been getting my pms! Anyway, I have just emailed her and hopefully a square for me and one for my Mum will be on their way soon. Thanks for your help in this!
