in town today the wool shop where i always have to visit when i am in town had the bags of small pom poms on offer so i bought 2 bags, and have stitched them on to the IS hats, cheating a little i know, but who cares lol

also bought a set of dpn's, one day i will learn how to use them, bought a stack of wool too, couldnt resist

Hi shaz I have been using the little pom-pom's too, my sister saw some in Gloucester and sent them up to me, they can be used in so many ways, and are really colourful, much easier than making them.

Pippa - the boobs for the competition don't have to be in until 14th September so there's still time! Are you going somewhere nice in October?

Shaz - I will update towards the end of the day; don't feel bad about buying ready-made pompoms - it's all in a good cause! DPNs are easy to use but I'm sure there are online tutorials if you google the words! They are great when making socks and I think we'll all need to stock up on those this coming winter with the increased cost of heating!

Mrs Moneypenny - I'm sure they'll post photos of all the boobs after the competition is over!

lots of my hats are pom pom less now unless i see some ready made ones i think they will be staying that way;) .

I knitted 3 more IS hats last night, and did a few rows of mum waistcoat:D

pippa the boobs dont take long at all to knit, the first few rows feel too tight and youll think something is wrong but after you get used to it they are fine.
i hope you find time to have a go.

Hi Kathy yes we are off to Majorca, with my friend whos husband died a short while ago, we had promised him before he died that we would take her away with us, and we are going to the last place we all went to together.

I will start on the boob tonight and see how it goes.

    Hi mrs-moneypenny
I seem to remember reading somewhere that pom-poms are optional now, but if you would like some I have quite a few, you are more than welcome to some, PM me if you do.

Hi everyone. Pippa - when Lou first announced the Pimp my Boob competition she emailed the entry form to those who requested one. If you pm me your email address (or I'll look on the Yahoo group - it might be on there!) I'll email it to you!

Shazrobo - if there's one thing there are plenty of free patterns for online, it's socks!

    Here's the latest update

The first figures are for the STC (Save the Children) hats and the second is for the (IS) Innocent Smoothie hats which we can do in readiness for the go ahead of Sainsbury's next campaign.
