Hi all - I have a feeling the closing date for the IS hats is 17th October; I'll do what Mrs MP is doing and make sure mine amount to just under 100gms for posting. Good advice, Mrs MP!

I have almost finished a second vent hat so will probably do some more IS ones after that.

Pippa - you're doing really well! I'm still having to work because I have a backlog - I'd much rather be knitting!

    I'll update now.

The first figures are for the STC (Save the Children) hats and the second is for the (IS) Innocent Smoothie hats which we can do in readiness for the go ahead of Sainsbury's next campaign.

Did you take a photo of it before you posted it, Mrs Moneypenny? I'd love to see it. My DH was quite mesmerised by mine and my BIL asked for a pair for Christmas!

I was reading on another charity knitting site that it is better to take your preemie knits directly to your local hospital, therefore saving 2 lots of postage? Does any body else do this or do we all send to loving hands / preemie uk ?

Hi Craftylady - that's a very good point! I don't think it matters either way really because they all go to the same deserving cause. If anyone prefers to take their hats to their local hospital, please feel free. There are premature baby units all over the country so every single hat will be welcomed wherever it goes. I would hate anyone to feel obliged to send them to one particular place when the need is nationwide. It would still be great to add yours to our running totals, though!

i never thought to photo my 'boob' kathy, hopefully they will be put on lh once they are all there. it would be great to see them.

I might give my local hospital a ring and see if they need hats but i think for the moment ill carry on knitting for lh. can see why saving pstage would appeal knitting weighs nothing but because of the bulk it goes straight to packet rates

Thanks Kathy and mrs_moneypenny I think we have all done so well :T and we havent finished yet, still lots more to do.
We are off on holiday 14th October so I will get the IS hats ready to be sent off at the beginning of Oct that will give me time to do a few more.

I wish I had done a Pimp my Boob now, Sue sent me the pattern by e`mail a few days ago but I havent started one yet, hopefully this weekend I will find some free time to concentrate on it, too late for the competition though I think.
