Hi - found time to catch up at last!
Ginger - I'm just about to update!
Pippa - here is the page with the Origins Ginger infohttp://lovinghands.freeforums.org/mini-scarves-t493.html
Hope everyone is well? I haven't done much knitting or crochet these last few days because other things have become more pressing! As soon as the wedding is over I shall put my feet back on the ground and get more organised!
I will post a photo of my boob! It's quite plain with just a gold tassel on it! I'll take a photo tomorrow and then get it in the post.
Anyway, off to update with Ginger's hats!
The first figures are for the STC (Save the Children) hats and the second is for the (IS) Innocent Smoothie hats which we can do in readiness for the go ahead of Sainsbury's next campaign.

Maybe not quite on the charity front, but just been looking at the Instore web site and see they have some free knitting patterns to download on here. Just in case anyone needs any. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club

Sorry kathy but it was the loving hands link I was talking about, (as I already have instore on my fav list) I went in to LH today and found it right away, dont know what I was doing yesterday, but I couldnt find it
Just a thought, are we going to send our IS hats direct to IS, or to LH when the time is right? as the way we are going it looks like we will top the 200 they are aiming for
donny-gal they do have some really nice patterns dont they,I have already spotted a few I would like to do,but I must resist
....I have 3 things on needles as it is.....;)

Can you knit IS hats in 4ply - do you have a pattern. Found lots of wool today in the loft but I don't think its soft enough for preemie hats. I do have some really soft baby wool but its boucle - knits up like towelling. Can I use this for baby hats? Also found some pre knitted squares but they are odd sizes and some are in chunky knit. What can I do with them. Any ideas?? Sorry asking lots of silly questions.:rolleyes:Wooligans member 2010 - 6 animal blankets. 2 angel wraps, 2 baby hat, 4 Aaron squares, 5 cardigans

Hello everyone! haven't got anything finished to add to the totals... but I'm half way through a adult sized scarf for Loving Hands, and also another baby blanket, want to get them finished but hate knitting in the hot weather as my hands get too hot
I love the scarves for Origins... I shall do some of themI find them very quick and easy to do... my sister has me making mini scarves for all her soft toys :rotfl:
Loving knitting for the Wooligans! :j my totals:
Jellybeans
22 baby hats ; 3 Teddies for Tragedies ; 15 buntings ; 9 boobs ; 2 baby blankets ;
8 Innocent Smoothie hats ; 2 Scarves ; 4 Adult hats ; 6 Aaron squares ; 12 hedgehogs0 -
Hi all - Pippa, I'm not sure about the IS hats because Loving Hands weren't involved in them when we first started knitting them. I just thought they would be sent to wherever they are meant to go when Sainsbury's launch their new campaign. We could send them to either, couldn't we? They'll all go for the same good cause.
Craftlady - I'm sure the hats can be made in 4-ply - it's the size of the hats that's crucial so, as long as you can adapt the pattern for 4-ply, they should be fine. A lot of these campaigns specify double-knitting I think because it's the most easily available wool and most knitters have plenty in their stashes!
Jellybeans - it's good to hear from you; yes, knitting with hot hands is so uncomfortable, isn't it? I keep some baby wetwipes handy so that I can cool and clean my hands. I keep them in the fridge so they are lovely to use when the weather is this hot! It definitely helps!
Well, off to check on the dinner!

What about if we see what our other members think, as not all have joined the LH site, and may just prefer to send them in independently.
LH have set a target of 200 and if us lot are anything to go by, that will double.:D
