    :hello:
    Hi everybody,
I went shopping yesterday and got what I think is a real bargain....chenille type wool in white and turquoise for 35p a 50g ball, from Home Bargains, it needed sorting out though as it was all in a tangle, but I did manage to get some with the label on and unmessed up
Just right for the scarves for LH.

This is my first post. I read this and thought what a great idea - so I just had to register so I could join in. OH will be pleased as I have so much wool lying around the place!! What do I have to do? What are the innocent hats? I have seen them on the bottles in the past. Can't wait to start knitting:j

Hi Craftlady - welcome to our group. We feel honoured that this is your very first post on MSE! If you read the very first post on this thread it has loads of information about what we do and all the relevant links and so on. The Innocent Smoothie hats are a Sainsbury's annual campaign; they haven't announced this year's date for it but we are making hats for when they do. Here is the link http://www.innocentdrinks.co.uk/thebigknit/.
This is the link to our Yahoo group http://www.innocentdrinks.co.uk/thebigknit/

and we have joined this website - all our baby items and Teddies for Tragedies go to these people: www.lovinghands.org.uk

I'm just off to update the totals and will catch up with you all later.

    Latest Update:

The first figures are for the STC (Save the Children) hats and the second is for the (IS) Innocent Smoothie hats which we can do in readiness for the go ahead of Sainsbury's next campaign.

Hello and welcome to craftlady and ceebeeby

Kathy can you update me with 1 teddy please.
I have a scarf on the needles but havent finished it yet, I will take it with me and knit in the car on the way to see my DGDT`S on Saturday, also another ted just started.
I wanted to get another couple finished before the lady from Livingstone gets to LH, but dont think I will have time now as she comes on 21st, I think Lou said. Never mind I can send them later :D

    Morning ladies :)

Just got a copy of 'Simply Knitting' for the free knitting clips and cowboy toy pattern, anyway there's a little piece on loving hands in there with a piccy of some of the items made. Lets hope that more people join in knitting for them as a result.

Kathy - You only have me down for 2 scarves, I've done 3 so far and almost finished the 4th, also started a baby blanket last night but thats for a gift for my friends baby due in September, but when I've done that I'll do a couple for loving hands. Been knitting hats and scarves for family gifts this past week, so not as much charity knitting, but I do keep doing a little inbetween other things, good job I have loads of needles lol!

HI all - thanks for the updates; I will add them to the totals at the end of the day.

Pippa - have a great time at DGDT's! I will add your Ted later when I update.

Herbaholic - sorry I got your totals wrong - I will correct them when I update later. It's good that everyone is checking their totals because I don't always get it right, as you can tell! I'll look out for the current 'Simply Knitting' when I next go shopping.

Shazrobo - have a great holiday; the blanket sounds lovely.

I will start another hat later to give me a break from the never-ending crochet blanket that I ambitiously started and which is taking forever. The hats are so simple and rewarding because they're so quick to do.

    Will catch up later.
