    Hello all,
Just wanted to tell you all of my latest bargain, I cant believe it really, I went into Smash and Grab this afternoon on the way home, OH wanted some screen wash for the car washers, as we are going down 3 m/ways tomorrow and the screens get mucky;) , and I found some more of the chenille type wool I bought yesterday.... 10 balls for £1.....how about that for a bargain, and I thought I had done well yesterday at 35p a ball:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
To think how much this type of yarn was when it first came out.

I must say these last few months since I have been knitting again, my fingers and hands have felt so much better, I was told by a nurse that exercise does help with the stiffness of arthiritis, and knitting is one of the best as hands and fingers are constantly moving.

Well I am off now see you all Sunday evening or maybe Monday.

Hi everyone - didn't update yesterday because I ran out of time.

Pippa, that was such a bargain! Knitting has helped my tendonitis, too; I am going to buy some wooden needles because my Mum says they are so much more comfortable to knit with than the steel ones. They should really help with your arthritis.

Anyway, here's the latest update and corrections!

The first figures are for the STC (Save the Children) hats and the second is for the (IS) Innocent Smoothie hats which we can do in readiness for the go ahead of Sainsbury's next campaign.

Well the rain has temporarily beaten us. We have decamped for the week end as it was soooooo wet on the Yorkshire Moors. Good on the one hand there are hats everywhere.

Arranged to drop them off to Lou at Loving Hands on the way to Aberdeen so am really looking forward to meeting her. I will send our love from the Wooligans

Hi Chalky - please do send Lou our love; I'd love to meet her, she looks and sounds like such a lovely person with a heart of gold. I'm so sorry the rain is accompanying you on your travels - it's something you could definitely do without, isn't it?

Hi everyone - it's been a bit quiet on here over the weekend because everyone is busy with life! Thought I'd bump the thread to post this fantastic link that Moanymoany has posted on the OS board for freebie pattern downloads

If you read this, Moanymoany, thanks!

:hello: Hi Kathy, just catching up after the weekend.
We had a lovely time with the girls, rode on a train, went to the park, had a BBQ,went shopping and spoilt them a little as you do:rolleyes: O we did enjoy it.
I get so upset coming home though, usually 1/2 mile down the road, I should be used to it by now, but no

I will keep a lookout for some wooden needles, sounds like a good idea.
Thinking back I remember my mum having some when I was young, I never could figure out the sizes of them as they were`nt marked up.

Didn't think I'd find knitting on MSE but what timing!

One of my best friends is due her first baby at Christmas after years of trying and was actually on an IVF list when nature did it's stuff! I found a knitting kit in John Lewis to make a blanket and didn't know where to start until I found video jug links on page 1. THANK YOU!!!!!

If I can master casting on, I might manage a square too...;) ....or maybe I will end up reading the entire thread and not learn to knit at all!
