Will be starting a square later on and would like to know whether to do 7 or 8 inch one...might get started on Smoky's one which I take it is 8 inches(??)

Have lots of wool, think red is going to be mine for charity and purple for Smoky.

I've just caught up with all the posts on this thread. I think the idea of a blanket for smoky is wonderful.
I must finish this chunky scarf for Miss Twit and then I will hunt out my 2 lots of wool and get knitting.
I love the name The Wooligans, although in my mind, it rhymes with hooligans not wool igans. IYSWIM

When we choose a name, can we issue numbers for our signatures, i'm sure Martin :money: must be able to knit being such a moneysaver and he could have a number too. :D

Hi everyone. OECS generally take 7 x 7" squares but have said they will take our 8 x 8s so we can carry on with those intitially.

The Wooligans is really catching on - what does everyone else think?

    Hi Eltan

Its a 6.00mm, its just some of the feathery wool left over from a scarf but the right colours. Didn't know how it would crochet up but has come out fine. Will try to post a photo tomorrow. All shades of oranges/terra cotta/reds.

Don't ask for how many chains. I just made a chain until it reached 8" then added 3 for the treble, and just did rows of trebles, adjusting as I went if it wasn't wide enough, or too wide. Feathery wool hides a multitude of sins.
