just thought i|'d check in. Haven't done any hats for a wee while - hope to start again at the weekend.

Can't believe how the totals are progressing - it's such an amazing thing to see them rising daily.

Lainey - your blankets are looking fabulous!

    Hi r.mac,
I have only just started on the premmie hats but already the totals are really impressive. It does`nt take us long when we get needles out does it?:D

Hi Pippa and thanks for the update! I'm glad you had a good time with your granddaughters. Grandchildren are precious, aren't they? I have a grandson aged 8 and a granddaughter aged 5 and they are such a joy to me!

Welcome back R.Mac! The hats are doing really well, aren't they? And the blankets are really coming on thanks to Lainey!

    Well, off to update!

The first figures are for the STC (Save the Children) hats and the second is for the (IS) Innocent Smoothie hats which we can do in readiness for the go ahead of Sainsbury's next campaign.

I'm aiming to have all the blankets done by the bank holiday weekend and am going to try and contact Smokybabe again about getting them to her. I'm not going to pressure as it's still early days for her and the children so I'll play it by ear. Will let you kno tho..

Lovetoshop and Tattycath - I agree with you - there are terrible things happening at the moment. I don't know how the people of Burma and China can bear it. It is so good that by knitting we know we are helping at least some people worse off than ourselves. I only wish nature was not so cruel.

R.Mac - you'll feel really good when you have made something that you can actually wear! Good luck with it - you've come such a long way!

I agree with you all, I was watching the news earlier and it reduced me to tears, those poor little ones, a whole generation of children gone, its heartbreaking. So many people suffering.

You are right Kathy, we are so lucky in a lot of ways here, and we can all do our bit in whatever way we can.

I am off to get some knitting done now, I was in wilkinsons earlier and saw some yarn in a lovely pale green, and my mother gave me some pale pink yesterday, so I have a lot of colours to choose from now.
