Hiya. Been losing weight with the Paul McKenna thing since January and hit a bit of a plateau in Feb so I finally took the plunge and re-joined WW 3 weeks ago. 1st weigh in, I lost 3lb and 2nd was just half a lb. Next weigh in on Monday - fingers crossed!.
Have lost over a stone since beginning of Jan so am quite chuffed at how well it's going. I bought my first size 14 clothes in about 15 years earlier today! I was a size 18 at Xmas and feel sooo much healthier in myself.
Love WW, it's really flexible and works!

Been on WW for about 6 weeks & have been managing ok. However, the past week, I've had bad hunger pangs, but haven't had enough points left. Any ideas how these pangs can be over come?0

Hi everyone, I'm back after a being ill.
But a 9 day hospital stay has given me a 5lb weight loss, making it 2 stones in total.
Got my 10% key ring yesterday.
Only problem now is I have to rest for a few weeks at home, so could be quite difficult to keep within my points when boredom sets in.
Keep up the good work.Josey0 -

hello! try padding your meals out with point free veg so you stay fuller for longer... maybe try including more foods from the "filling foods" list in your meals to keep you going for longer.
i also tend to keep a bowl of sugar free jelly in the fridge so that i've got something with zero points to eat if i get a bit peckish in the evening.0 -
Hi there
I'm always reading this thread and just thought I'd tell you all about my find. I went to Sainsbury's to see if the weight watchers frozen meals were on special offer. There weren't and I really begrudge paying £1.58. Anyway, I tried their own make frozen chicken hotpot which was surprisingly nice (doesn't taste the same as a WW but very tasty nonetheless!). Anyway, they do 4 frozen meals for £3.00 making each meal cost 75p (special offer at the moment),Bargain I say! and handy to have in if the kids have eaten elsewhere and I need something quick and low in cals. They work out at 5 pts which is only half a point more than the WW ones. Their own make cottage pie worked out at 4.5 points! I just added 0pt steamed veg and had a really nice meal:D
I hope this helps people trying to save money and lose weight!:T
By the waytanny786 - seabrook crisps are 2.5 pts.

HI
I originally joined WW 4 years ago and lost 3 stone. Kept most of it off, but have become a bit relaxed over the past year and gained 3/4 a stone (I'm hoping no more, I may be brave enough to go to the meeting tomorrow!!), so I will be trying to keep up with this thread.
It's been interesting reading everyones posts, and it seems a lot of people seem to go it alone and not go to meetings. I'm assuming to save money. When I went originally I went and paid for 6 months, at just under a fiver a week, it is a lot of money. But they give you invaluable advice and now I am a gold member and I can back for free and get all the literature. I consider it an investment.
My advice would be to really make sure you know how many points are in items. I got myself a shopping guide, and just by comparing the same thing in different supermarkets, which therefore are made a little differently and with slightly different ingredients, you can save a few points. It all adds up over time.
For those of you who are hungry but have little points. Satsumas are 2 for 1/2 point, and cause they're fiddly to eat it keeps you busy for a while. Carrots sticks and low fat dip ( I mixed mint jelly and low fat natura yoghurt last night!!) are another good recommendation especially of you like to pick whilst you make dinner, And pile the plate high with lots of different veg to make meals more interesting. I personally stray away from the ready meals, as I reckon if you eat your own versions you can more, for more points. HTh some people.
I look forward to getting some more tips over the coming weeks.0 -
Welcome kings981
You sound like me in the fact that I need the group support from the meetings. As you will be paying until you get back to your goal weight, it may be worth paying for a monthley pass. This way you will pay less per month, have access to esource, and it will encourage you to keep attending class.
I cook from scratch most of the time, and I'm just planning an Irish stew recipe ready for tomorrows festivities. Must remember to point the Guinness (2.5 points per pint).Josey0
