calories divided by 70 plus sat fat divided by 4 is a bit easier to remember, i think. easier to do in your head roughly when glancing at a packet in the supermarket anyway!

no, sorry, i didn't mean to undermine you , it's the same formula - just i find the other way easier to do roughly in your head.
  • I read the formula should be:-

    POINTS(R) = (calories/50) + (fat grams/12) - (fibre grams/5)
I like the 2 on this page better though as it is less to add up

I had one of those points calculator things which was great.

  • The formulas are different in the UK and in the USA, here in the UK we use kcal and saturated fat. In the States they use the extra bit about fibre
    Smile it confuses people!
  • Good Afternoon,

Does this formula also work living here in Belgium?

    Thanks

Do you carry a calculator with you?

    isn't there an easier way?

From a desperate lady, who's debating not going to WW tonight, due to eating a packet of chocolate digestives yesterday!!!
  • I have recently joined Weight Watchers and I am following the points plan.

Tonight we are having mince for tea any way to eat it that is more exciting than spag bol

Also snacking (whats good) and any other advice or web site other that WW's own and keeping fit tips

What should I be buying at the supermarket tonight?

There's a large community of wannabe losers over on the I wanna board - it's a sticky!

And from there you should be able to find links to weight loss recipes on the Old Style boards.
