LAINZ you have done brilliant to keep to your goal weight for that long. They say it is the hardest bit to maintain the weight loss. How have you found it over the last two years?
We need to keep this thread going and give everybody lots of support. Summer is coming up and even if we could lose a few pounds we will all feel so much better.:T0 -
I went on WW about 7 years ago when I had three stone to lose, definitely worked for me, doesn't ban any foods just made me have a lifestyle change.
On new years day, I realised a stone had crept on....don't you just hate it when that happens..:rotfl:...so I haven't exactly followed WW but the premise of it, and I only have 4lbs to go! :T
Why not have a look in our Weight Loss thread, lovely lot in there, we all support each other, some peeps on SW, some on WW and some just have their own personal plan.

I was lucky - I had to lose about 1 1/2 stone. I sat down and had a look at what I was eating and drinking - eg a glass or 2 of wine most nights, and my portion sizes, 'healthy' snacks were far too big/ too many.
I found ww easy as you can eat what you want and you soon learn what works for you. Since then, it's just been continuing with that, luckily I got rid of my chocolate tooth years ago when I found I can't have too much cow's milk, so a square of dark chocolate does me (although I'm not to be left alone with a packet of after eights:o ), goats/sheeps cheese tends to be stronger flavoured, so you only need a little, and obviously I lay off the booze!
I would like to lose a couple of pounds to give myself a bit more of a buffer to my goal weight, hopefully if I get running again it'll drop off (that's the the theory, unfortunately it makes me eat like a horse  )0 -

I joined ww but have only lost 3lbs in 8 weeks and so feel a bit disappointed as everyone is telling me I should have lost more. I stay for the meetings but to be honest I dont find them helpful. I'm using e source which I find is very good for recipes but I am getting bored and disalussioned. I'm drinking loads of water and am walking for miles and miles and milessssss. any tips?

You need to make sure that you are tracking everything (and making sure you're not 'forgetting' anything!) Also are you eating all your points, you may think if you cut down your points you'll lose more weight, but in fact your body goes into starvation mode.
I don't know which programme you're following, but switch over to the other one and try that. I mainly point, but if it's not shifting I switch to Core (or No Count when I did it!)
Don't give up!0 -
Hello Everyone. I joined WW today for the first time ever got about 2 stone to lose. Think this thread is really good.
I signed up for the monthly pass and have spent most of the afternoon working out points values for the things I like.
I've got a question I've got 3.5 points left for today and know I'm gonna be having a chinese takeawy at the weekend...am I ok to save these points for that?
Thanks

Hi Sparkly Princess
3.5 points seem a lot to have left, are you sure a) you've pointed correctly, b) you are not hungry? You can 'save' your points for a night out, but really it should only be 1 - 2 points a day. When you have your Chinese, remember to go for the boiled rice, and try and stay away from fried stuff!!!
Good luck - it'll take a few weeks to get into the swing of it. I've been trying to cut down to lose a few pounds, but I had to finish off Mrs Mcawbers bread sticks I made earlier in the week, nomnom :rotfl: , so not doing well. Doesn't help I spend most of my time lurking around the Grocery Challenge thread and end up making loads of stuff to eat0 -
Hi everyone
Had first WI at home this morning and have lost 4lb really pleased. I really need to lose about 2 stone. I am going to keep trying to WW at home but if it gets hard I will join the evening class.
Must admit I did not use all points up everyday, but I was not hungry and as long as I have my bowl of porridge in evening it does keep me going. I am going to cinema will my son on Saturday and then shopping for rest of the day. I will be having a bag of sweets and chocolate bar and will not feel bad as I have some points from previous days to use. This is what I like about WW the plan is flexible.0 -
I'm back doing WW for the second time. I lost over 2 stone the last time but put it and more back on. After about 2 years of kidding myself I can do it alone I finally decided in February to go back to WW.
I do it online as can't always make classes and in the last 6 weeks i've lost a stone. I find it so much easier to keep track of what i'm eating and find it easier to stick to.
Really fell off the wagon about 2 weeks ago when I had my nephews 21st and my daughters 5th birthday all in the one week although it was mainly booze rather than food. Have been trying really hard the last week to get back on track but i'm really struggling.
My tip is to drink plenty of water, I know everyone says this but it has really worked for me. Last time I did drink a fair bit of water and the weight was coming off but this time i'm really sticking to drinking water and it's coming off so much easier. It's a bit of a pain at first, you feel like you're never out the toilet but it gets better after a few days.
Got to get back on track this week as i'm going on holiday at the end of June and want to shift at least 20lbs before then.0 -
Hi everyone...
Hope no-one minds me popping on...only i have started posting recipe over on the OS weight loss thread... and as well as the cals etc i also have the WW points count for them too (can't you guess who spent many a year doing WW)
Remembered this thread had recently started -Didn't want to hijack it by posting all the recipes on here - but wanted to let you know they were there just in case they are of use to anyone... so far there is :-- Chewy fruit muesli slice 1.5points
- spiced banana muffin 2 points
- carrot muffins 2.5 points
- yogurt honey muffins 2 points
- cherry marmalade muffins 2.5
I will no doubt be adding more as i go along, so i will try and pop back and let you know what else i put on....-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Hi Anniek
Well done for you weight loss. If you lost the weight before you know you can do well again.
This site is brilliant and you feel you are getting the same support as if you were going to a meeting. We need to keep giving each other support which we need either for a weight loss or more for a weight gain.
Any nice new recipes anyone has would be great. Tonight I am having stew and dumplings, sounds naughty but I will work out the points for my small dumpling and will enjoy every mouthful.0
