Me and a load of the girls in work are doing this, but not properly.
We've bought the books and have worked out our daily point allowance. Wednesday is our weigh in day and each week we will come and report our weight loss to each other
So Ive bought myself some scales (never had a decent set) and the books are on order. Once they are here I will fully start. Plus going to measure my waist and see what I lose there.
I know Im around 12 stone and would love to get under 10 (or just fit into my bikini which I could fit in last summer!!).
Will def keep on here to mark my progress.
Does anyone know how many points a plain baked potato is? Strugling to find this info!Green and White Barmy Army!0 -
Perhaps a few people could post some typical days menus which might give you some inspiration.
Just wanted to share mine - I'm on 21 points:
Breakfast: One slice of WW bread spread with extra light mayo - it probably sounds strange, but I'm not keen on butter, marge or jam (which probably sounds even stranger!) (1pt)
Mid-morning: Ryvita Goodness bar (1pt)
Lunch: brown roll with mustard and salad (OK, now that I'm writing this down I realize I eat a lot of strange things - trust me, mustard and salad go well together!) (3 pts)
Bag of Walkers baked crisps (1.5 pts)
Skinny Cow Ice Cream sandwich (2pts)
Mid afternoon - two clementines (1pt)
Small bag of jelly sweets (2pts)
Dinner - 100g pasta (4pts)
Half a jar of WW pasta sauce (1pt)
Small Milkybar (1.5pts)
I have 3 points left, not sure how I'm going to use them yet! As you can see I don't eat big meals - I prefer using my points for snacks throughout the daywhich I know isn't what they recommend, but it's worked for me so far! Would love to see what everyone else eats, it might encourage me to eat a bit healthier
I had my gym induction today which was very exciting, and I've signed up for a monthly pass so I'm hoping that gives me motivation to go and get my money's worth! I'm aimimg to go twice a week and hopefully increase that to 3 times a week when I build my stamina up xxx0 -

Just a quick question, why don't you have any protein? Your body takes longer to break down protein than carbs and so fills you for longer. I can't see any protein or calcium in your day. Just a gentle question0 -
Ooh that's very interesting, I never even thought about my lack of protein today - I'm a vegetarian but 6 days out of 7 I have meat-free alternatives (yesterday I had a Quorn lasagne for example) and I eat a lot of eggs as well, just not today as it happens!
And as for calcium, I have to confess I probably don't get the recommended amount - I'm not mad keen on milk or cheese but I do have a yoghurt every other day for breakfast. Maybe that's something I need to work on! Thanks for pointing it out to me, I think I'll use my leftover points on a yoghurt tonight! xxx
