Hi everyone
I've been doing WW's since October and have lost just over 2 stones so far:j . Still got a long way to go but am hoping to get to my goal (or close to) by the time I go on holiday in August. I managed to squeeze into a pair of size 16 trousers this morning and I was a 22 when I started.
Webitha - I don't know how many kids you have and how old they are but I take my 2 along with me to meetings and they sit and play on their DS's.Oct GC: £144.07/£2000 -
Hello,
I'll join in please! I started WW half heartedly before Xmas, but am now back on track. Although I have started exercising too (daily), which has had a knock on effect with the weight loss, stayed the same this week, lost 1lb week before, no alcohol and within my points (grr). i'm naturally quite lazy and am trying to keep myself motivated as I know one week I'll go and have a big loss...just trying to keep myself going until then!
Studentmidwife - I'm v jealous at 14st 10lb I'm still in size 18....boo. Hoepfully the exercise will take some inches off.0 -
I follow WW, lost 6 stone previously and not trying to shift a few pounds that snuck back on. I've signed up for the half a pound a month challenge where everyone is using different methods to lose weight. I've done Points and No Count for ages but currently doing point @ 20pts a day.0

Hi melwright - I look like I should weigh less than I do (if that makes sense!) which is really annoying. I don't tell my friends how much I weigh but they can't believe it when I say I've got over 5 stone to lose to get to my goal. They think I've only got 2-3 stones to lose (I wish!!!).Oct GC: £144.07/£2000 -
SMW my lot are 9yr 7yr and 4yr and during the week they have strict bedtimesIf we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

:hello: I'm in! Been going to meetings since last August- roughly one and a half stone gone so far but still a long way to go!!! Guess it's already been mentioned on the old thread but this website is brilliant for point counters!"According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway. Because bees don't care what humans think is impossible" Bee Movie 20070

Hey, another Weight Watcher here :hello:
I joined last June and have lost almost 4 stone to date - gone from a size 20 to a 14/16 (but mostly 14) which I'm so thrilled with! WW is the first and only diet club I have joined and I can't recommend it enough, if you follow it properly it really does work - 2 or 3 of my friends have also joined and they've quoted my weight loss as their inspiration! I still have 2 and a half stone to go to get to my goal weight - I'm aiming to do this for July...
My tips would be:
Make lots of small goals so there's always something to aim for and that will keep you motivated (silver 7's and 10% goals are great, but make some of your own - at the moment I have 4 mini-goals pinned up on my wall)
Follow it properly - make sure you know exactly how many points you're on, and write down everything you eat because it's so easy to conveniently forget what you've popped into your mouth through the day!)
Keep a track of what you've lost through measurements, photos or clothes - unfortunately I never took measurements, but I took a "before" photo of myself, and take a photo every 2 months of myself wearing the exact same clothes - the visual difference between then and now is so much more noticable than I would expect it to be without the photo as a reminder! I also have a pair of jeans that I try on every so often - I can nearly do them up now (I couldn't get them past my thighs to begin with!)
Definately do some form of exercise alongside it - I've only started exercising in the past 3 weeks and it's almost doubled my weekly weight loss - maybe that's something to do with the fact I was a lazy bum beforehand and my metabolism is in shock! I do an hour a day on a stepping machine and have started walking a lot as well, I'm going to build up to running in the summer and maybe join a gym (although I hate exercising in front of other people!)
Look forward to chatting with you all and hearing your tips!xxx
