  • Yes am interested - does it count if I just want to maintain weight loss though as dont need to lose any? I did weightwatchers a couple of years ago and lost over 3 stone, so would like to give people hints and tips if you are interested. I was a size 14 - 16 and am now a size 6 - 8 to give you some idea.

Some good tips (that helped me!) are:

Decide on a start date and then stick with it. I started on Jan 1st a few years ago and decided that I could lose 1 - 2lb a week by eating healthily and committing to 3 exercise sessions. By commiting to doing this you can see visualise yourself thinner in the future by sticking with the plan.

Work out how many points you are supposed to be on and stick with it.

Weigh yourself once a week, same time, and log your weight. It can be helpful to also take measurements of chest, waist, hips, thighs and upper arms as a starting point as further down the line you may not lose weight but be losing inches.

Meal plan - decide on a weekly plan - I tend to have meals that I rotate, and have a set breakfast, lunch and dinner. Snacks are to be fruit. The odd treat at a weekend or within points allowance is fine. Jaffa cakes for example are only half a point and I think Mars light is 2 points.

At each half stone loss take a photograph in your swimming costume/bikini - its amazing how the weight loss shows!

Commit to 3 exercise sessions a week. If you dont go to the gym dont worry - suggestions would be doing an exercise dvd once a week, a swim or run another time, plus one other session. I used to do fitball and handweights at home plus situps, lunges, and squats so home exercising is possible for those that cant manage the gym.

I hope this is helpful - please PM me if you would like more details and I also have my website (bit out of date but has info on exercise and diet and my before and after pics if you are interested).

I am happy to offer any advice, as I know how hard it is to lose weight and start the process, plus keeping it off, but it is great when you manage to do it.
