HI ya, I'm not on weight watchers as I don't find it works for me but have you thought about looking for a local class run in the day that may have creche type facilities, or welcome people with children. I find I need to go my Rosemary Conley class to keep me focused.
There's also a great weight loss thread on this forum too http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=13333237#post13333237Weight loss since 01/08/07 - 72 lbs:j0 -
Hi, weightwatchers is great. I help out at my local weightwatchers and its lovely to see all the smiley face as the jump on the scales and are told they have lost more weight! I would recommend that you go the meetings - theres no objection to you taking your children - we have plently mums and kids come to ours. Weight watcher do however offer a great online service.xXx0

I've successfully used weightlossresources.co.uk - costs about £9 a month....just to give another option. Have heard good stuff about WW too though.0

Basics of weight watchers:
* Recording your diet and exercise
* Reducing your carb and saturate fat intake
* Recording your weight
* Support of people in your class / motivational talker each week
You can do most of it yourself really.. get a pen and paper, then a set of decent weighing scales. Only weigh yourself each week, at the same time (e.g. Saturday morning) but keep a strict record of what you eat. I liked the weight watchers point scheme as it was a simplified means of counting calories / sat. fat amounts.0 -
WW are great, I lost on it - unfortunately due to work problems, I gained it all back and then some, now trying to get back on track.
You can buy a monthly pass type thing, so if you want to go to a couple of classes so that you can buy the points books etc, it won't then cost you too much in fees. You can then use the message boards on their site.
You can also buy loads of WW stuff from Ebay, but it does seem to go for stupid amounts of money (hense the suggestion of buying a monthly pass for the first few weeks)0 -
Weightwatchers works and its the classes that really hold it together. Getting the support from others in the same situation is what keeps you at it - even on the weeks you dont loose.
Try find a day time class as you will find lots of mums with babies and younger kiddies there. If you dont want to be there too long because of the kids - go 15/20 mins after the start - so you get weighed and get the chat/class without having to sit and wait for everyone to turn up0 -
In the nine months i did it, i lost 1 stoneLife is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0

i've done weightwatchers and slimming world and most other things lol
weightwatchers i lost nearly 5 stone then fell pregnant and over the years i've found it all again and its probably brought a few mates too! i did this by using the free online forum and weighing myself at boots for 20p (it was back then) so i didnt attend any class or pay for online stuff. i did get a few cookbooks from fleabay though
slimming world i lost 6lbs in 8months and my friend who i went with didnt lose a thing. we couldnt get it to work for us and we stayed for the meetings and they were basically treated as a joke by most people so we left.It only seems kinky the first time.. :A0 -
I used tesco diets in the beginning of the year and lost 9kg!!! in about 3-4 months. Had to stop for different reasons, a few kg crept up again, but I learned the basics and it really helped. I am trying to get my OH to join in, as I find it impossible to do it myself and watch him eating all he wants. He has strong opinion and often doesn't agree to follow the recipe and has to 'adjust' it, but a few spoons of oil, for example...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
