    Good evening all,

Weight watchers is a very good diet to follow.

In 2006 I went on WW for the first time in my life. I lost 2 stone in 2 months.
I have kept the weight off.

I found that I didnt need to buy WW food, I bought a points calculator. I wrote down everything you eat and try to exercise every day. I know easier said than done!!!

Drink plenty of water, before each meal so when you do eat your not that hungry. It worked for me.

    Good luck!!

i agree, drinking water really helps, not just to help you feel full, but it also flushes the system out and reduces water retension,

    Hi everyone!

i was hoping one of you lovely ladies could help me out...

Me and OH have started weightwatchers again (i have some old books from a previous attempt) and are trying to 'go it alone' at the moment - may sign up on line depending how we get on...

anyway...i was wondering if anyone could tell me what the points value is for a sainsburys taste the difference chocolate cookie? i don't have the full shopping book and i can't find out any nutritional information online and it's not on the packet, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Well I have been to register this morning - the hard part over! I have only set my target for now as just over a stone, thought I would set a realistic goal as it might make me unmotivated if the goal posts are too far away.

I have to say the books and the pack that you get, don't seem as good quality as they used to be. I was with WW about 2 years ago and had a big handbook spiral bound with lots and lots of foods listed. This pack I have this morning seems a bit flimsy, doesn't seem to have as many foods listed and the calculator thingy doesn't look like it will last very long - but hey ho!

I was looking at the cookbooks while I was there but thought it would be more MSE to try and get the book out of the library perhaps or find some online instead. Perhaps if people have the cookbooks and they try a recipe that they really like, they could share it? ;) :rotfl:

Keep up the good work - remember, even just 1.5 a week all adds up. Never too late to start!

    Hi SkySky

You still get all the information that used to be in the one big book, but now, instead of giving it out all in the same week, it is spread over a few weeks. Next weeks booklet will be about eating out (I think) and then there will be one about exercise.

Good luck in your 1st week back, let us know how you get on.:D

    Hi all you WWs!

Hope you are all big losers! I mean that in the best possible way obviously!:D

I am thinking of rejoining - last attended 3/4 years ago and found it mostly ok, though some weeks were harder. I want to lose a few pounds before my holiday rather than have to buy a whole new holiday wardrobe!!!!!

I still have most of my books from before, and even my diaries to see when my best weeks were and what I ate then. I have lost my old calculator, which I found really handy, and was going to ask if they do still do them but someone has already mentioned it.

So instead am wondering if my old books are still correct and would still be relevant for the points version of the diet, rather than the free version?

Am also interested in knowing if registration is free or not? Can't lay my hands on a free voucher at the moment!

Incidentally I did Slimming World for a while and the red and green day thing was hell! But one snack I used to have was a stick of celery with a Laughing Cow light cheese triangle, which I believe was about 1/2pt.

    Good luck to you all!

Edit: also is the website worth joining? I managed without it last time!

Well I have been for weigh in this morning and have lost 2lb this week :j . I was quite pleased with this as I went out for a meal with OH on friday. We went for a chinese and I didn't really know what was healthy or wasn't and then went to the cinema (where I had to have pick n mix :o ) but I did save points the day before and the day after so I doubt I actually went over.

Must stay motivated now for the next week. Thought about buying one of the cookbooks for recipe ideas and inspiration but moneysaving took over so I opted against it. Will keep an eye out at the car boot on sunday mornings instead :D

    Hope everyone is being good!
