Although now I'm worried that if I have more points I'm going to put weight on:heartsmil Proud Weight Watcher :heartsmilStart Weight: 15st 13lb Current Weight: 10st 5lbTotal Loss to Date: 5st 8lb- - -Current 2011 Goal: Lose 8lb by 25th DecemberLoss This Week: -3 Total Loss 2011: -30 -
I think this one is right...
1 Are You:
Female Score 3 ____
Male Score 9 _____
2 How Old Are You?
16 - 20 Score 5 _____
21 - 35 Score 4 _____
36 - 50 Score 3 __
51 - 65 Score 2 _____
Over 65 Score 1 _____
3 How Many Stones Do You Weigh?
Ignore the lb, the number of stones is your score for
this question. Someone who weighs 12st 4lb will score 12 _____
4 How Tall Are You?
Under 5ft 4ins Score 1 _____
5ft 4ins or above Score 2 ___
5 In Your Day To Day Life Are You:
Sitting down most of the time Score 0 __
Occasionally sitting, but mainly standing Score 2 _____
Walking most of the time Score 4 _____
Doing physically hard work most of the time Score 6 _____
6 Do You Want To:
Lose weight Score 0 _
Maintain your current weight Score 6 _____
NOW ADD UP YOUR SCORE _____
THIS IS YOUR DAILY POINTS ALLOWANCE
Now depending on your height depends how many you're gonna get but it is definitely more than 18. I think enjoy them, then when that next 2 lb comes off, which it will, you will lose one point as you go below a stone level. Make the most of them whilst you have themGod is good, all the time

Thanks Sian (Y)
I officially can have 20 points. HOORAY!
The 18 was definately down to me being heavier..but having a very active job that involved me being on my feet for most of the day (which I no longer have..) so it's good to know I can have those extra 2 points..well atleast up until I've lost these 2lb then I get 1 point taken off me again haha:heartsmil Proud Weight Watcher :heartsmilStart Weight: 15st 13lb Current Weight: 10st 5lbTotal Loss to Date: 5st 8lb- - -Current 2011 Goal: Lose 8lb by 25th DecemberLoss This Week: -3 Total Loss 2011: -30 -

I agree, 2 points is worth having! that's a scoop of Ben and Jerry's frozen yoghurt or some cheese on your pasta dish or an extra slice of toast in that hungry time around 4pm
Looking at your signature you are doing really really well, what are your top tips?God is good, all the time

The only tips I have is keeping yourself motivated and planning ahead with food wherever possible. Try to make sure you point things before you eat them - something I've learned from experience - for example..me eating a pack of 'low fat' packet noodles as a large snack, only to point them later at 5points a pack, is rather gutting and totally messed up my entire day!
I take my calculator with me when I go shopping, and if there's a snack or treat I get tempted by, I stand in the aisle and point it and make a decision on whether it's worth the points or not - more often than not I put items back as I have an incredible sweet tooth and everything I get tempted by is high in points lol:heartsmil Proud Weight Watcher :heartsmilStart Weight: 15st 13lb Current Weight: 10st 5lbTotal Loss to Date: 5st 8lb- - -Current 2011 Goal: Lose 8lb by 25th DecemberLoss This Week: -3 Total Loss 2011: -30 -
Morning All
Been a bit MIA over the last couple of days, did really well for 2 then i 2 days off and am now back on it, I too am finding I am more hungry this time, its propbably becuase i allowed myself soooo much over christmas plus with it being soooo cold the hibination instinct has kicked in and I just want lots of warm yummy food....
Gonna try for a good day today. I am also going back to the gym - Have been very honest with myself this time round, I know what I'm like ill be focus and up for the gym for wks and then i'll give up and then i have a few weeks off and stat over again on off on off - life! So instead of beig tied into a very expensive contract I am going for PAYG, it works out slightly more expensive per visit but over the 12 months of on off on off it works out better value (trying to be MSE LOL)
Will report back later with how I get on
Duckie
PS Hope everyone is warm and safe and good luck for today. To be figured out!0 -
Morning all!
Well during the day I'm good but the evenings I'm notHave my first WI on saturday morning (snow levels dependant) so after that thats it!
Focus - I do that. I WI on a Saturday morning and use any saved points for the rest of that day (actually I generally don't count!) then start Sunday, worked for me last time. That one day off really helped.
Jtb - loving the icons!
Today I have another Eat Smart ready meal (being lazy and not cooking and eating leftover dinner like I normally do) its chicken breast in red wine sauce with garlic potatoes for 5 points and only £1.09 :j I do unfortunately have a severe craving for a big bowl of custard...I also don't appear to have brought in any breakfast - flipping snow has frozen what's left of my brain!
I think I am in need of a coconut options hot chos to warm me up....brrrrrReally should be doing some work...0 -
Morning all,
I am freezing , do you think i'd survive if i used all 22 points on hot chocolate ?
First weigh in day tomorrow but i am thinking of doing it today as i am out for the day tomorrow ( and want a packet of malteasers to take with me if I have lost) we do our WI at tesco they have some fabby scales that also tell you the % of your body that is fat .. I am so nervous - don't feel like i have lost at all .I am journeying to a debt-free life.
Our estimated debt-free date is January 2040. I'm on a mission to bring that date closer!
16/02/23 debts - £9556.38
emergency fund - £00.00

YWG - The 'are you a nursing mom' kind of gives it away as being an American system, and they work out their points in a different way using dietary fiber (goodness knows) as well as kcal and sat fat. I'm in the 11stone bracket and get 20 points, so there's no way you'd get less than that.
Do you have one of those points calculator? They're great for pointing things before you eat them, I take mine to Asda with me! Low fat things are awfully confusing - don't just believe the labels! Some of them are labelled as low fat but are terrible points wise because of the calories, or high saturated fat and vice versa. Others are barely lower in points than the much nicer 'normal' alternatives.
One thing which is excellent about the points calculator is you can see what the own brand alternatives to weightwatchers foods are, and often (to my surprise) they're a lot lower in points - for example curry sauces, Asda own brand are lower in points than WW. I think WW got into trouble with this (possibly in America) - just because a ready meal is 5 points doesn't mean that you couldn't make it yourself for 4! Be careful!0
