  • Well I went in the end last night and managed to lose another 1/2, not much but given that I had my work night out and another party over the weekend it is a miracle ;)

    Hi everyone

I have good news and bad ........... I lost 3lb at WI last night which I'm thrilled to bits with ! :j

Bad news (and a bit of a WARNING!) please be careful when you go out for festive meals etc ............ I was very ill this morning (not the drink for a change ! lol) and I think it was because I ate very rich food - it really upset me ! I wouldn't want anyone else to feel how I did at 3am this morning so just have a little think before you make your choice from menus. I could have happily eaten lots of things like that before ........... won't be doing it again for a while ! Just goes to show how our bodies change when we start to eat more healthily .

Right off to make mince pies for DHs workforce ......... I won't be even eating a crumb !!!! :p

    TTFN xx

Well done on the loss JTB and Sian, and sorry your evening was marred by illness JTB.
You're welcome Jan,I realised when I went into McDonalds yesterday that I had no reason to feel guilty. Thanks to looking at the menu before I went I knew exactly what I wanted. I walked up to the counter and asked for it-even had the confidence to ask that DS get two packs of chips in his happy meal instead of a meat portion. He never eats meat and if I get him nuggets or a burger I end up eating them...asking for two packs of chips meant I didn't have the opportunity and he got an extra pack of chips to bring home and have with his dinner.I did feel like I was being watched when I sat down because the salad bucket looks blatantly obvious. I could almost hear people thinking "why come here to eat like that"-but then I watched how quickly they were gulping down a burger and chips and I thought they couldnt have had time to taste it, and my salad was by far the best thing Ive ever eaten in McDonalds.A complete new experience and I loved every minute of it.
  • Feeling quite depressed today due to multiple factors - booo :(

I started with the flu on Sunday and it's now taken full swing so I've been ill for the past 2 days now - this is the 3rd time this winter. My immune system is a shambles! Next year I think I may fork out for the flu jab (even though im scared of injections!)

Yesterday I dosed myself up on flu meds and after a bowl of redy brek made with water, sweetner and a small packet of raisins (all for 2 points) my gf took me out to the Bullring in Bham for some shopping, then treated me to Nandos because I was on the verge of tears from feeling like a warmed up scabby !!! :rotfl:

Today I slept in after an awful night of being unable to breathe, and had to attend a job centre interview for an hour - which was more than dull - then my gf took me through the mcdonalds drive through in attempt to get some life into me. After eating a burger, fries and a milkshake I feel like utter poo! Not only have I smashed my points for the day by more than a million miles, i'm ill and feel guilty for my eating. GAAH! :(

Tomorrow will be better *fingers crossed*

  • Oh no, being ill is rubbish, it always makes me hungry!!

Right here is what to do - point it all, draw a line under today and move on. Eating rubbish will not make you feel better!

    Hope you feel better
  • Im so worried, weigh in tomorrow and after my STS last week im worried.

Had a meal out thursday and Saturday, have been good to though to compensate although not made it swimming this week :0(

    Im nervous!
  • I haven't been able to eat rich food in years, so I sympathise. I've had to give up cheesy or creamy sauces as well as fast food because it keeps me up all night in bad ways! My Xmas do is going to be with another couple of WW-ers, someone gluten intolerant, someone too poor to splash out and someone going for a slap up meal that night so hopefully I won't be the odd one out!

Went on my work weighing machine today and looks like 1.5lb down on Thursday; alternatively 3lb down on this time last week on the same machine. Fingers crossed!

YWG sorry to hear you're under the weather-seems alot of it about. As for your immune system, Im sure with a few months of eating the ww way you'll be loads better prepared for next year.
Cheeky good luck for wi tomorrow.

Whats everyone having for supper tonight? Im baking chicken breasts with sliced up green pepper and onion-with some chopped toms, and soft cheese with garlic and herbs. To serve with cous cous-5.5 points.

Cheeky hope your WI tomorrow is ok xxx

you_wicked_gay, sorry to hear your poorly (hugz). Investing in the flu jab sounds like a good idea next year, especially if you keep catching every bug going. Hope you're feeling better soon xx

polkadot those salads are nice and not too many points even with the dressing - good for you for sticking to something healthy :T.

Had steak with redcurrant sauce, celeriac mash and green beans for dinner tonight and it was really nice to eat a small meal :o. It's the first thing I've had all day (apart from a bit of ginger biscuit to try and settle my tum earlier this morning ).

All mince pies cooked and not one eaten (DH says they're yummy so I've no need to taste test before they go to the lads tomorrow :D).

Have a nice evening all xx
