You will NEVER NEVER EVER EVER see me out running,, not now and no way in the future.. first of all to big at the moment and 2nd dont bloody like jogging..

The wii fit gives me confidence to do any kind of exercise at the moment.. I also have a stepper..

The wii fit does have a running part to it which i do but indoors, no one can see all my flab flapping around, it has also helped me with my cardio as gets the heart going for someone who did no exercise at all for last year.

if nothing else its an introduction to some kind of exercise that you can do in your spare time at home, its a bit of fun and also helps keep you on track with your BMI

and you can also buy more games to do more exercise with.. other half has the active one and when he finished he sweating buckets.. ( i will consider that one later on lol)

Well according to the ww scales I have lost 6 in the two weeks not 9. Im going to go with that on my target to christmas as more normal me thinks.

Just had chip shop chips for tea - gotta have a treat on weigh day lol. Anyone know the points in half a large portion though as I still want to count them. Cant seem them on the website though :-(

I would count them around the 7 point mark certainly no less.

a normal portion of fish and chips is 15 points.. found that out for when i was on my hols by the seaside lol

Thanks for that...according to the ladies website that was posted on here a few days ago she reckons 9.5 for a large portion of chips and as I only had half that made it about 5 but thought that seemed to small. Will go with 7 as that should be ok.
  • Hi,

I wondered if anyone here would know whether the points used in the recipes for WW nowadays is the same as the points in the recipe books printed around 1998?

Mum wanted to try again and has some lovely books from her old WW days she would like to use. :)

    Thanks

i always think its best to weigh the offending item. even comparing the 3 chip shops near me, the portion size is so variable

look at it this way, 100g of fried chips is 4pts - 100g of chips would fit in a small baked bean tin - im assuming, even at half a portion of chips, you ate something nearer a large tin of beans?

    I've been Money Tipped!
hey all 1lb off for me this week:j and although its only a pound and my second week im made up lol my first week was a bit of a disaster due to the fact that im doing it myself at home and cheated a lot in my first week!

That 1lb has spured me on now to try my best this week and see how i go, back at the gym nxt wk as im not on my ladies time ha ha and will have more energy to actually make the effort to go!

Does anyone feel that exercising in the morning has more benefits to exercising in the evenings? I go to the gym straight from work and do 30 mins running on the x trainer on hill setting and it really makes me sweat  ive not managed to work any more into my gym routine as yet because i dont want to make the same mistake as usual and push myself so far that the thought of me going again puts me off!
    :p

<sneaks on to thread hoping no ones noticed she's been awol>

I'm back! I'm going to WI tomorrow for the first time in 4 weeks and I'm going to get on the scales backwards and make sure my leader doesn't tell me what I've put on or my weight or anything and I don't want her to tell me anything until I've reached 10st and then she can tell me and I'll turn around. I *think* I've put on about half a stone :o I can feel it so I reckon I'm about 10st 12lbs ish, my lowest on WW has been 10st 3.5lbs.

Been summoned to my aunts for crimbo dinner by my gran, I haven't seen my aunt for a few years but this side of the family ALWAYS tell me how fat I am when they see so this time it will be different.

    Day 1 AGAIN...

You guys are all doing fabulously! Well done on the losses, I have been lurking.

I will attempt to catch up with Santa Slim in a mo as it's the last hour of work and I'm ready for the weekend!

    Puds x
Really should be doing some work...
