after joining ww online i have just made myself some sweet potato wedges for only 2 points - that will be my lunch. i am only allowed 17 points so defo ditching the alcohol and takeaways for a good wee while!

I was sceptical but it does focus the mind - Ive just had to have a debate with myself over whether or not a wispa was worth 6 points or not :rotfl:

hey jess - i dont go to classes but just joined online 2day - i buy the ww mag every month - if you wnated recipe books etc you could try amazon or ebay but i personally dont think you need the stuff from classes if you are online aswell.

just wondering if anyone know where i would find some ww no or v. low point soups? goin do my shoppin online 2day/2moro and want to get enough ingredients to do diff batches of soups! tomato & basil or roasted red pepper would be a good easy start!

The red pepper and butternut squash soup is delish, its just onion, redpepper and bns, you can roast the veg first if you like but I just roughly chop the veg and cover with water, add a few stock cubes and simmer until veg is tender, then blend once cooled.
I also do the chunky Italian veg soup, which is 2 carrots,1 onion, 2 celery sticks 200g turnip or swede add to 2xtins chopped tomato's crushed garlic, 1tsp tomato puree Italian dried herbs and 900mls (11/2pints) veg stock, simmer until veg is tender, season and serve. I always have a pan of soup on the go, and have also made a lentil soup which is basically carrot, onion, leek, celery and turnip or swede roughly chopped and simmered in veg stock. I cook 100g lentils (41/2 points) in a seperate pan, then once I've blended the veg, add the drained lentils, this will usually make about 6 servings so works out less than a point a serving.

    Hi folks
Just thinking of signing up to WW online while its cheaper and I'm after your guidance!
Have been thinking for a while its time to lose weight (am about 2 stone over max weight for my height and its all gone on in last 5 years) and since the boyfriend proposed i've been feeling more serious about it. I can't imagine seeing my wedding pics and having to edit out all the 'fat' ones!
When I originally thought about WW it was the meetings i had in mind. I am pretty low on willpower, v sweet-toothed, and thought meeting other people through WW would be the best way to keep me motivated. But new hours at work mean there is little hope for me to make it too meetings.

Do others using the online WW rate it? Thanks! Fran

Good luck! I think the hardest thing is sticking with it - I know you say you are weak willed but if you change your way of thinking from it being a battle of wills into something you really want to do I think you will be more likely to succeed.

Had a bit of a 'naughty' week last week, I'm surprised that I lost any weight but did :o got a feeling it might catch up with me next week, so I've been trying to be a bit more active over the weekend and I've discovered that gardening is probably the best thing for me while I'm trying to loose weight. Did the back garden before lunch, then stopped to have something to eat and started thinking I'd better not eat too much as all that bending down on a full stomach isnt going to feel very comfortable, so only had a quick chicken and lettuce sarnie (ww bread) and a cup of coffee and went back outside to do the front, also it being hot, I've drank gallons of water, so still feel quite full. I might offer to do the neighbours gardens during the week once mines finished, if my back can cope :rotfl:
Got a turkey casserole in the sc and am gonna do some mash, cauli and brocolli to go with it, and have fruit salad for dessert, think I deserve a treat after all the work I've did over the weekend, and got a pan of carrot and coriander soup just started, so I've been a good girl today Santa ;) Lets hope the scales dont let me down on friday!
Good luck for this week everyone!

Got my very first weigh in tomorrow evening so hoping I've lost !

Been very good all week (aren't we all when we first start  lol) and have done lots of gardening over the weekend (bulchy totally agree gardening is a good way to go - certainly keeps me out of the fridge, boredom being one of my main triggers).

Having WW toad in the hole, mash and veg tonight for tea. Will have some yoghurt for dessert, mixed with some of my fresh raspberries from the garden. :D

Hope everyone has had a good (and not naughty ! lol) weekend .... back tomorrow with my results !
    :jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j
