  • Aw Puddings, hope you're alright, what with Nanas and drinking it hasn't been the easiest to stay on the weightwatchers waggon. I do admire your determination though! I would love to lose a stone by Christmas, is that doable? Have my weigh in tonight, would be so much easier if it was in the morning, I spend the day trying to eat light food rather than healthy food so it doesn't show on the scales, and I feel robbed if I don't go for a wee first :) lol

  • Stayed the same, not too bad given the chips/chocolate/crisps/cider weekend :)

Hoping to lose 2 stone by christmas so here goes..
I would love to lose a stone by Christmas, is that doable?

    Lets do it guys!!

Right there are 15 or 16 WI's until Xmas. If we aim for 1lb a week we can lose a stone, if we aim for 1.5lbs per week we can lose a stone and a half, if we aim for 2lbs per week we can lose two stone!!! This is well within the healthy weight loss WW suggests so we CAN do it!!

    Who's with me??

I'm going to aim for 1.5lbs per week. I will start a list of all those who will join the challenge. We need a name for the challenge:
    Cracking Christmas Costumes?
    Guiltfree Christmas Gluttons?
    Gorgeous Goddesses of Christmas Cheer?
Damn it I will fit into that LBD?
    Santa Slim?
All I want for Christmas is a smaller bum?
Jingle bell jingle bell jingle bell DROP (a dress size)?
We don't wanna wobble like a bowl full of jelly?
(Wish I was so creative at doing this spreadsheet I'm supposed to be doing...) :rotfl:

    And the challenge begins... :T
Really should be doing some work...

I think for me, given that I appear to have an excuse for not following the plan every few weeks I would like to get to my stone loss altogether by Christmas which is half a pound a week. That would mean a stone since starting and would be half way to my target weight and I believe would take me back down a dress size!
I reckon the idea of the challenge for Christmas is a great one, maybe we can all pick a target to do, for some people at the beginning of their weight loss it might be a big one like a stone before Christmas, for others it might be getting back into some favourite jeans, for others it might be a few pounds to get back to target weight, doesn’t mean we can’t all list our target though J (so for me it would be another 8lb by Christmas). The name suggestions are brilliant too

  • Thats a great idea Sian - it doesn't have to be weight! We can go for NSV's too (non scale victories!) which actually fits me better too really as I want to be a dress size and don't really care what weight that makes me!
Really should be doing some work...
  • Right then, put me down for 8lbs by Christmas 2009 :)
That will take me from 12 stone 7 initially to 11 stone 7 with the aim of getting to 10 stone 7 eventually!

  • hI went to my first wi after joining last week lost 1.5lbs not great for a first week on the plan but did have sons 18th birthday party at the weekend and I think i drank a whole days points in smirnoff ice. Never mind have got my zero point soup cooking as we speak ...how hard is it to peel and chop a butternut squash. Puddings thats a great idea I am going to aim for for 9.5lbs off and that will take me to 12st any more then that will be a bonus.:j
  • ellie that is a great loss for the first week, apparently if you lose too much it is mainly just water so it will go back on, especially with a family party!

So, my recent finds! Go Ahead Fruit slices are 3 points for the pack of 3 slices. Which is great news, they are sweet, take ages to eat and are really filling. A great breakfast on the go I think too. Also the small Pizza Express Margherita from Tesco is 9 points for the whole thing - add some 0 point toppings like mushrooms and YUM!

For lunch for the next, er, 3 days I have WW stuffed pasta. They come in 2 portions at 4.5 points each but I've cooked the two packs together and bulked out with onions, peppers and mushrooms added herbs and a tin of tomatoes all for no extra points and made into 3 portions at just 3 points each!! :money: I bought bags of frozen sliced veg that I can use for things like this cos I can't eat all the veg I buy before it goes off which is money wasting. Am quite looking forward to it!

Sorry thats all got wheat in Penky :o

Puddings I think you have me confused for someone else! I'm not wheat intolerent so all of the above sound yummy!

In fact, I often have the go ahead bards for breakfast. I like the ones with chocolate chip!

    Honey I'm home!

Hello everyone! I havent been on here for a few weeks and I feel like I've neglected the post slightly.

I lost all motivation for a few weeks, I stopped writing down what I was eating and exercise went out the window completely!

My weight loss has been very slow due to this but I reached my 2 stone and I have lost 2 stone 2 and a half pounds. My next goal is 2 and a half stone.

Well done Puddings on getting back on track.

I havent had time to read all of the posts I've missed (there are so many on here!) but I will try and catch up soon. Welcome to all the newbies and well done on peoples loss's since I've been gone.

I'm off to London this weekend but I'm only there for one night and I'm feeling pretty confident that I can be good and stick to my diet whilst I'm there.

I know it's very optimistic but I have a wedding to go to on 21st Nov and I would love to hit my 3 stone target by then. That means I have to lose 11 1/2lbs in 10 weeks. Definately possible if I stick to it. My 5 day holiday to Blackpool in Oct might cause a slight obsticle but I'm feeling positive at the moment!

Anyway, I'm back and I am going to check on here as much as possible to keep me motivated. It's getting much harder now!
