for lunch i had a jacket potato with a blob of philadelphia smooshed into it... YUM! :D

i'm off to visit the family this week so will miss my weigh in.. much motivation needed to stay on track until the week after! (:j)

    Hi Guys

I've just found this thread. I've been going to ww for about eight weeks now and have lost 16.5 pounds. During this time I have stayed the same once and only lost half pound last week.

My weigh in is tonight so fingers crossed cos i've had a good week, although you never know what those dreaded scales are going to say !!

Thanks for the congrats guys :D

    Welcome Yummymommy!

Well I had a bad (but delicious) weekend! And my nanna has told me that I'm off oop north to visit her over BH weekend and she won't take no for an answer so I have to be extra good till then cos I'll miss WI and she thinks one portion of fishfingers is at least 6  (along with a whole tin of beans and a billion peeled new potatoes) followed by a chocolate mousse and a french fancy...

I'm also off to give blood in a bit where I'm obviously going to have to eat the little pack of biscuits they are going to give me

Smartcat, if you find that bottle of motivation let me know, I've also tried Morrisons and Iceland and they always seem to be sold out of it
Really should be doing some work...

Crikey puddings, dont you realise how dangerous it is visiting nana's when your trying to loose weight :rotfl:I remembrt when my nana was alive, me and the oh were following a weight managment diet and the twice weekly visit to flo's was scary, she always sent me round the chippy, as this to her was a treat as she couldnt get round there herself, thankfully, she couldnt eat a full fish n chips so we shared. Sundays though, we either stayed in, where she would insist on a drink with sunday roast, or we would go out somewhere, and again, it was always a pub lunch, I still managed to loose the weight though, think pushing her around in her wheelchair must have compensated for the extra food she insisted I ate. So there's your solution, make sure you get plenty of excersise at nanas to make up for all the delicious piles of food she dishes up :rotfl:

    Hi All
Once again I am starting to follow the WW diet, Im never successful, I always give up after a couple of weeks.

I was curious to see if everyone follows the point counting plan, i thought I would try the other plan as I hate counting points and have not tried this one before.

I stopped smoking last christmas and have put on about 2 stone since, I really need to lose this as I can feel it in my feet, back and legs. I am on my feet all day in my job and I am aching when I come home at night.

Im going to start tomorrow as the schools go back and I will be hopefully less stressed.

    Wish me luck x
  • Hello everyone!

I've been lurking for a few days now and I've read the whole thread (super quiet at work...). I am just in awe at the losses you've managed. Is really inspirational!

This is my (hopefully) third successful attempt at WW (not counting all the failed times, too depressing). I lost 12lbs earlier this year and have kept it off, now need to lose another 23 to finish the job. I've decided to think in lbs for now.

I rejoined my meeting on Wednesday there and my mum drove half an hour to my neck of the woods to give me moral support at the meeting. She finds WW really easy and reached goal first time round. However, I'm already over my points and I'm really scared in case I don't lose as I'll feel I've let my mum down. I can't go to my meeting alone (it's not very friendly and tbh the leader isn't that supportive) so I need additional support.

I'm really nervous about Wednesday night already and it's only Monday afternoon! Why I had to have a glass of wine when I was already 3 points over my points for yesterday I do not know...

But reading all your posts has been just so motivational. Thanks everyone! :T Will post regularly.

    Hi am

I do the ww points. I find that if I exercise it encourages me not to undo all the good work by overating - chocolate in my case. I don't eat any of the extra points either. Like any diet the first couple of weeks are the hardest, but you just have to keep visualising the end result. How you will feel and how you will look if you do loose the weight. Also how you will feel and look if you don't loose it, or worse put more on.

I have another 4 stone to loose and am lucky at the moment as I am totally focused. (IF only you could bottle it!) I guess that I have just come to terms with the fact that there is no quick fix and that small weight losses per week are better than nothing. Even if you loose half a pound a week it would nearly two stone in a year ! And how quickly a year goes !

    Good luck for tomorrow x:T
