I've just started WW but i'm going to try and do it on my own as I can't afford the meetings. Does anyone have any helpful tips? Also am I right in thinking that I can save all my exercise points for 1 day a week if I want? And also I can save up to 4 points a day if I want to? This is what the consultant said when I went to the initial meeting yesterday but i've heard conflicting stories about this?
Thanks, also how many points are frazzles? I love frazzels!

    Morning!

    Welcome Katy and Jak :j

Ok, Katy, if you go back through some of the thread you can see I'm a huge comfort eater too (normally man related at the moment ). I am a total chocoholic too and have found things to help this.. WW bars, WW cookies, Tesco LC cakes, frozen curly wurlys (2.5), options hot choc (0.5-1) Skinny Cow choc mint ice cream lollies (1.5) always have no added sugar jelly (0) and LF ice cream in the freezer..infact most of my points are pretty much spent on sweet things :o

Small steps is always the way, I do it in silver 7 chunks :D

Jak, yes you can save up to 4 points per day but they must be used within the week. You don't have to eat your exercise points but if you do loads of exercise apparantly it helps to eat half your exercise points to keep you going and not seemingly starving yourself. I'm just getting this but from what I see on the WW message boards. I tend not to eat my exercise points (I probably earn about 12-15 a week) but then I over indulge ALL DAY after WI on a Saturday morning so realistically I eat them all! Straight back onto WW on the Sunday after drawing my line...

I'm in a good mood today - well it is Friday - and I'm off to Frankie and Bennys tonight and I have to be an :A if I want to have a good weightloss tomorrow and start getting back to where I was a few weeks ago after falling off the wagon!

Breakfast shortly, a crumpet with Nutella again (2) mmmmmmmm.

    Puds x

OMG that's brilliant. I LOVE frazzels, that's great news- Thanks for all the advice! I'm going out tonight so I really need to get some points banked! I'm going to spend:
2pts breakfast- marmite on nimble w/ 2 tsp low fat marg.
1pt lunch- free soup w/ 2 slices nimble
7pts tea- spag bol at my friends house
    2pts milk
I saved 4 points yesterday and earned 5 plus that leaves me 10 pts from today. Total 19 pts but i'll fall over if I spend that! So hopefully i'll be able to have a few glasses of wine!
How much is a bottle of wine? I make it about 8.5 pts, is that right?

Thanks again for all your help!

    i like that idea!

well, i had some coco pops for breakfast with skimmed milk (i've always drunk skimmed, luckily!) = 2.5 points

then i shall have a jacket potato with half a tin of beans and one slice of ham chopped up = 5 points

dinner is chicken and rice with low-fat white wine sauce and lots of veggies = 4 plus sauce (which i haven't worked out yet)

then i thought some nice snacks would be:

3 cream crackers with low fat brussels pate = 2 points
    apples = 0.5 points each
glass of milk = 1 point

and then i have a little bit of leeway, perhaps to be filled with a skinny cow lolly! good tip puddings!

:D i feel optimistic today. must be a friday thing eh!

oh yeah, puds, i noticed you said about going shopping in portsmouth in a post before. do you live nearby? i live in portsmouth!

    :j Wooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooo!! :j

4.5 lbs OFF for me!! Am so pleased! I did however count out the weeks since my last silver 7 and its been 8 so that hows long I've been faffing around gaining, losing, gaining, gaining, losing...so thats it ENOUGH what a waste of 8 weeks!! So 3.5 lbs left to my next silver 7 and I'm aiming for that in 2 weeks OMG then I'll drop a point

So I did everything right this week, I planned food for the whole week (and I mean the WHOLE week) weighed everything that needed weighing, wrote down every single thing that passed my lips and went to the gym 3 times. So therefore I am a perfect (and slightly anal) weightwatcher :D

I have however just eaten a pizza and big bar of chocolate to celebrate

Ooh menus looking good peeps :p I have just discovered the 99p store and bought more frazzles!

Katy I don't live in Portsmouth, it was just a flying visit to spend some dosh and eat tapas in the sunshine, its not far - I'm in Fleet.

Right I need to get bum in gear to glam up for a night out..

    Puds :A

well, i went!! i weighed in at 12st 6.5lbs and said my target is 10% which is 17lbs. which i believe would be 11st 3.5lbs.

having said that, i'd rather be about a stone less than that eventually! but small steps eh.

i feel a bit worried because i have a humungous appetite and love to cook and eat food. i tried weight watchers before uni and went from 10st 7.5lbs to 9st 10lbs. but obviously moving into my own place and being in charge of my own food hasn't been a huge success! i cook decent meals. i just eat about 3 human portions and supplement it all with chocolate buttons.... (instead of being the stereotypical student, spending money on booze, i spent it on yummy things like steaks and mozzarella balls. oh dear!)

i think i need a pep talk! *looks hopeful* :o

Hi, I had a big appetite before I started ww, so did my oh and dd, we've been following it for about 5 weeks now and have done really well so far, we started with the fast start first and had good looses, and have been steady most weeks, didnt loose any last weigh-in but this week, dd lost 6lb, oh lost 5 1/2 and I lost 3, so we're doing well. We try to eat as much of the free food as we can, salads, free soups etc, fill up on fruit and yogurts, and still have a few points left over for treats.Good luck Katy
