lol, the way I think about it when looking at something is

    calories/50 + saturated fat/12 - fibre/5 = points value

Now in the US they use the fibre thing but they don't really suggest that here

The UK formula (ie without the fibre bit) is actually:

    calories/66 + saturated fat/4.12 = points

then rounded to the nearest half a point.

When I check food labels I generally count a point for every 70ish calories then half a point for every 2g of sat fat.

AFAIK NV's are listed differently in the US to the UK, which is why we don't need to think about fibre in the equation. It's something along those lines anyway, I used to be the manager of Curves and 'teach' the diet they devised low carb) but had to formulate it differently because of this. I don't know I can't remember :o it was a while ago. So don't panic! We are doing it right ;) Oh thank goodness for my little calculator thingamy.

Shellsuit - I have been told the WW is wine isn't great and there's only something like 1.5 points different to a normal bottle of wine (full sizes) anyway. Personally I'd have my fave bottle and take the extra point or so. Or to have less points mix it with diet soda/lemonade and have a spritzer!

Butterfly - Mmmm starbucks caramel hot choc WITH cream my fave and normally my after-weigh-in-and-gym saturday treat.

I have been off the wagon and on self destruct the last couple of days so WI won't be good tomorrow but I can't drag myself out of total misery (relationship woes) but hopefully the groan from the scales tomorrow will spur me into action. I've written a shopping list in preparation of pay day. And also think I'm due the freebie summer sizzlers cook book tomorrow as I get my sixth flipflop sticker at my meeting :j

Have great weekends. I'm off to bed in a bit I think to hide under the duvet.

Hubby and I would like to 'do' WW, but it seems so complicated to work out points! We'd probably just end up eating WW products, or is that the point *boom boom, tish!*

Thats just what I thought, but its quite easy to follow, once you get the books with all the info in its quite straight forward.
