I joined up earlier, online for the monthly pass - saves me rooting around for cash on a tuesday morning before WI and also saves me buying all the WW goodies at the meeting if i have no cash on me!

Has anyone tasted the lemon merangue choc bars - sooo sickly and sweet but bloody scrummy lol

Sorted out the Wii earlier, the kids had been using it since I got it, so it was all ready to go, I just didn't know how to connect it, but now I do!

Worked a bit of a sweat up while the baby was gazing up at me, probably thinking I'd lost my marbles lol! x

    Again, forgot to say...

Been looking at the esource thing and put in the points to save as favs, for 4 slices of WW malted bread.

1 slice is 0.5 points, but 4 slices work out as 3 points on esource?! Any ideas why as surely it should be 2??

I find lots of things work out like that - 0.5 for 1 but 1.5 for 2

now from a girl that used to start the day with a large starbucks caramel hot chocolate and a croissante with lashings of butter and jam im quite pleased with myself!

    so today ive ate

    breakfast: as above! =1.5 pts

lunch: wafer thin ham and mustard sandwich on ww bread=3 pts
    bag of skips= 1.5 pts
ww citrus yoghurt=0.5 pts (!! and theyre quite nice actually!)
    alpen bar=1 pts
2 black coffees with 2 sugars in each=2 pts

dinner:sausage and mash and gravy =10 pts
    sugar free jelly=0 pts

now to find something to use the other 5.5 pts with!!

It is because things are rounded up or down o get the nearest point value. For something that is 35 calories you would round down to 1/2 a point (50 calories, forgetting the fat content). If you have 2 of this thing it is 70 calories, you would round up to 1 1/2, 4 lots of it would be 140 calories which would round up to 3 points. The problem with the system is if you are always round the same way!
    :)

    That makes sense (ish) lol

Has anyone tried the WW wine, either the fruity white or rose?

I'm going to a party later (cousins graduation) so will be there from 5-9ish and was thinking of picking up a couple of the small bottles to take with me.

lol, the way I think about it when looking at something is

    calories/50 + saturated fat/12 - fibre/5 = points value

Now in the US they use the fibre thing but they don't really suggest that here, I think that is why the ww products appear lower in points than others e.g. ww bagel 2 points (written on the packet), other bagel 3 (worked out using ww calculator), they take into account the fibre. In the same way the little tubs of fruities I believe take into account the fibre which is why the points are so low, a bit cheeky I feel. They also get you like this with their 1 1/2 point bars, they are just up to the borderline of rounding up points so you seem to be getting more for your points

I would say that if you are always rounding down, e.g. hot choc sachet 35 calories, 1/2 point you would end up eating way more than you think, when an item is more than double for 2 it shows you that it has been rounded down previously, might be annoying to have it be rounded up for 2 items but better for your waistline :)
