I am gutted and so annoyed and upset inside. If i wasnt more determined to not be a fat slob i would have given up tonight with ww. I stayed the same ghrrrrrrr.

Its not working having my mums meals. I can't cook, so what option do i have but live on ready meals every evening? Should i be worried though, are they really that bad for you? It seems its the only way i can loose weight. Otherwise I am going to give up.

I cant think of anything else i could 'cook' to have thats non packet meal. A jacket potatoe, tuna? I have no idea. Feel really down.

Sorry, didnt really explain properly, was just gonna let people know that the free referal was available in my area, as this is about moneysaving, and slimming clubs can be costly at the best of times, also so that others could check if it was free in other areas too :embarasse I never explain myself properly.

Sorry, I misunderstood :o Would be a great idea to put that on a new thread to make others aware of it.

I've just found some info on the referal scheme -

    http://www.weightwatchers.co.uk/images/2057/dynamic/GCMSImages/ReferalHouseadr3Small.pdf

Think I may give them a call tomorrow as I don't go to meetings due to lack of funds - I don't know if I'll qualify, although I believe I am still classed as obese :o Will see what they say!

what does the human body need on a daily basis? Like what does the government recommend? I know its 5 a day, erm a pint of milk but what else are you supposed to have? I am trying to loose two stone and want to be healthy. Trouble is I don't know how to cook and currently eating my mums meals in smaller sizes and still not loosing! I am on the Weight Watchers plan that has worked before. So its forcing me back to packet meals as I know how many points are in them. Where I will never know with my mums! Now I know that packet meals are not supposed to be very good for you, thats why I want to make sure I get all the bodys essential vitamins etc it needs. Trouble is what are they??? I can't find anything on the subject

Evening all, just a quick log on to say hello before I get on with my 'holiday' :D

Welcome to the newbies and blimey haven't we had some fantastic weight losses this week! I lost 3 of the 3.5 I put on so was dead chuffed...aiming for 1lb this week to be back on track.

This week off is going ok, keeping busy so I dont snack too much but lots of lunches out catching up with people!!

Had my LOVELY full body exfoliation and massage today and wow it was fab! I was all floopy afterwards and lovely and soft so couldn't possible manage the gym, although the way the girl was pounding my thighs I'm hoping she obliterated some cellulite!! ;)

Yes my Dad is fine he's just going through a really really really tough time at the mo and there's not a lot i can do to help except try keep him cheerful by text message :(

Vikki, I can't cook and quite frankly i can't be bothered either just for one, here's what I live on for dinners: Fishfingers, chicken fingers/pieces, breaded chicken steaks, potato waffles, BNS chips, beans, frozen steam veg, sausages, light curry/chinese sauces with frozen prawns and microwave rice, pasta and tomato based sauce, jackets spuds with beans or tuna mayo or coleslaw, AND some ready meals...

I always choose the 'light' versions of these things like Tesco Light Choices, Asda GFY and WW. All this stuff is 'bung in the oven' and mostly already protioned so is easy to work out the points. I know its not the healthiest of diets but hey ho.

Sorry I haven't caught up with each of you guys but I promise I've read them all and I'm happy/proud/frustrated/angry/confused/elated/jealous/pleased as punch/cheesed off* for each and every one of you! *delete as appropriate :D

And Karen I AM going to find something to help you with the wheat free thing, I'm asking around - there must be some sort of forum like this where you could get ideas, or websites or SOMETHING! Oh infact i was in Asda yesterday and they had a freezer cabinet with wheat free things in and I thought of you...there was a pizza!

Will catch up with you all again soon

Oh, Vikki, I also take a multivitamin & mineral everyday! (Along wth 1000mg of Vit C to ward of colds etc and Calcium + Vit D as I dont drink any milk nor eat cheese anymore and Vit d is good for skin I'm told and I suffer acne STILL!!)

Karen - if its money saving its ALWAYS worth a try!!

Thanks Puds, hope your dad picks up soon x

I didn't know Asda had a wheat free freezer!! Tescos do a few things but mainly bread items and biscuits - they are sooooo expensive and tend to be a lot higher in points :(
Will look on Asdas website and see what I can find.
    Enjoy your week off xx

Hi all - wanted to report in after my weigh in - and I lost 4.5lb!!!!!!!!

    I'm Dead chuffed!!!

*vicki* when you say you can't cook what exactly do you mean? Sorry if this seems like a weird question..... Can you put things in the oven for a set amount of time? If so this gives you LOADS of options - please don't think cooking is hard - I love to cook and would like to help offer suggestions of things you would find easy to make - are easy to point and will build your confidence in the kitchen.

I suffer from spots too, thanks puddings. Dad keeps putting me off packet meals so after my rant earlier i might still try my mums food, but much smaller and keep telling her small portions.
