Hi all - wanted to report in after my weigh in - and I lost 4.5lb!!!!!!!!
I'm Dead chuffed!!!
*vicki* when you say you can't cook what exactly do you mean? Sorry if this seems like a weird question..... Can you put things in the oven for a set amount of time? If so this gives you LOADS of options - please don't think cooking is hard - I love to cook and would like to help offer suggestions of things you would find easy to make - are easy to point and will build your confidence in the kitchen.

I dont know how to use an oven or anything. Plus a bit lazy that i am not too bothered knowing yet.0 -
You just turn an oven on to the tempurature you want for the alloted amount of time - same as a miicrowave but takes longer...
give us some examples of your mum's meals maybe we could help you point them?0 -
Vikki, all of us have been in the position where we couldn't cook. I guess it depends how much you want to learn. I guess if you are really feeling miserable then you need to learn how to cook, if your mum cooks she could teach you some skills. I think learning how to roast things in the oven may be step one, perhaps cooking some veggies in a pan as step two. I think that both are things which could be explained via the internet.
With regards to oven/microwave meals they are really not that good. If you look at the calorific values and point them up then at least you will be going along with the WW plan but there are other factors involved, the amount of saturated fat, the lower amount of nutrients, the number of additives needed to keep them fresh for so long... The other danger is the fact that you are not having enough filling foods if you are having lots of ready meals. So I am trying to make sure about half of my plate is vegetables, now if you could learn to make a tomato sauce, stir fry some veggies, roast some others then you could add a lot of extra nutrition and taste to your meal and that would fill you up more.
So, some pointers for us, what do you enjoy eating? How brave are you in trying new things?God is good, all the time
Do something that scares you every day

got my WI at 12 today and must say im expecting a gain... We went away at the weekend and although tried to be good didnt happen.. Have felt really bloated since sunday night and a tad uncomfortable eating rubbish that i hadnt for 4 weeks, did i enjoy it yes at the time cos i was starving and nothing else to have, .. I tried to pick the best i could but in the end it was a kebab oh with salad thought that might make me feel better loland a few chips and a full breakfast that has done it. oh and a few bags of crisps that i know were not low points lol...
so get today over with and move on and todays another dayThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,

Hi Sian,
I've put my daily menu's on here this week - and my 1 piece of WW success advise is to write everything down as or b4 it passes your lips!
Simple as it sounds.... the trick is to actually do the diet.
Sorry there was no magic to it......
Here's hoping to another loss next week.....0 -
Good luck all, sorry for my rant yesterday. Feel a lot better today and back on my mums meals, and she is giving me much smaller portions now.0

hi all
as predicted i had a gain only 1lb which was better than expected but not exactly what i want from this diet..
so ive decided no matter what from now on i will make sure i can eat properly.. if it means i take stuff with me or go our of my way to get stuff i can eat i will do it.. got to much weight to lose to waste a week gaining..
We have been offered a holiday in yarmouth in a few weeks, ( friends booked it and now cant go and dont want it to go to waste) so i'm already planning my meals for the week as can cook myself..
My daughter and her friend going and i can work round them. I am so determined to lose this weight forever that i will try to be so good as this time next year i want to be half the woman i am now ..
rose
