Am feeling pretty pleased with myself as on Friday my oh was here and he wanted Indian food. Kept asking if I wanted any and I managed to resist (not easy as I love chicken korma!). Also my son was having takeaway pizza and I managed to resist that too
I had my ww lasagne and salad whilst they tucked into their feasts and I felt quite proud of myself. Yesterday my daughter came in with KFC and offered me some and again I resisted!
Also yesterday I went out the front and cut the grass!! A minor thing for most but it's something I haven't been able to do for such a long time because I'm usually so concious of myself. Goes to show that I'm feeling better about myself :T My work trousers are hanging off me but tried a smaller size and they were a tad tight so hopefully just a few more weeks and I will have dropped a dress size. Fingers crossed.
Hope u all have great weeks and keep enjoying the sunshine xxSome people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass0 -
Do a lot of people eat the ww ready meals then? I have to admit I can't stand them . I make adjustments to the food I normally prepare (more veg, less fat) and count the points for the whole recipe, divided by the portion that I have of the whole amount.
So on Saturday we had a curry made with:
100g pataks tikka masala paste (6.5points),
225g chicken (5.5points),
chickpeas (4 points)
and loads of 0 point veg (onions, tomatoes, carrots, green beans, mushrooms).
I had a fifth of it (3 points) with 40g rice (2 points).
Yum yum!
I then went and undid all my good work by going round to a friend's for a bbq yesterday, drinking loads of pimms and eating a portion of a nigella dessert! Back on the wagon today though.
Penky, well done on your davina workout. I'm not a fan of workout videos myself, although I did get good results with callanetics for toning and strengthening, but the video looks ever so dated now!! I prefer running because it's the way I can burn most points in the least amount of time and I'm too easily bored if exercise goes on for much more than 30mins!I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0 -
Hey All,
How fab was the weekend weather? The only problem I have is that my head thinks its the law to eat ice cream so I did! But saturdays I don't count anyway and sunday's ice cream was a skinny cow mint choc one and wow delicious, takes ages to lick and only 1.5 points!! Thats my tip for the summer!
Ok so DVD's I have the Charlie Brooks one which I love love love but I tend to go to the gym now 3-4 times a week although Saturday I decided it was too hot and went for a run/walk/jog instead. I knackered myself out, jogged back to my flat and realised i'd only been gone for flipping 24 minutes!!!!!!
With regards to WW ready meals I don't eat them - I've tried them - but I don't like them. The curry type ones are all spice and no flavour! I do however have some ready meals in the freezer for emergencies but go for the Asda good for you range which are pretty good. I also got a Morrsions eat smart yesterday, spicy jambalya, so I'll let you know. I eat them normally on Tuesday evenings cos I get in late. My dinners are very 'kiddy' a lot of the time with fish fingers or some sort of breaded chicken with BNS chips. Having potato waffles tonight as someone said on WW message boards that they are 1.5 each and it reminded me how much i used to love them! If/when I move back in with the OH I'll start cooking properly again, I just cant be bothered when its just me!
I have to be good this week after a STS Saturday so I'm prepared! I have just had a small roll (2) with 2 slices bacon medalions (1) and a light cheese slice (1) so filling and indulgent! I do have an apple too.... I am going to eat my lunch outside today as I've got my legs out - eeek!
Have a great day peeps xReally should be doing some work...0 -
Morning everyone, god I so dont want to be at work when it's such nice weather out!
Well done Karen23 - It's really difficult to turn down food you enjoy when you're offered it. Thats a real achievement so you should be proud. A bit naughty of them to offer you it though if they know you're trying to be good. I've lost a stone and a half now and I dont seem to have gone down a dress size. My trousers are lose and I have gone down 3 holes on my belt but I suppose I havent really tried any bottoms on since I've been on a diet. I definately havent gone down a dress size on my top half but that has a lot to do with the fact that I have very big boobs (FF) and they none of my weight has come off them so far. I'm hoping it will eventually!
AllIcouldwish for - I have ready meals sometimes but only if I dont have time to cook something else. I think they're ok but I'm bored of them now and sometimes they arent very satisfying. I never buy the weight watchers ones but the healhy living ones from tescos arent that bad and quite often they are 4 for £5.00. Handy to keep in the freezer though.
Regarding running I have tried this but it's something I struggle with. I can run for about a minute, then I have to walk and then run again!
Puddings - Weather is lush! I do go gym now and I'm really enjoying it so I'm using the DVD when it's more convenient for me to stay at home.
I stayed the same this week. I'm a bit dissappointed cause I have done so much exercise this week and I have stuck to the diet. I didnt write anything down though so perhaps I went slightly over without realising. My leader didnt really have anything motivating to say and I think thats really bad as a leader to be honest. Friends have said that because I lost 4lbs last week it's just evened itself out this week. Am trying not to let it get me down and I went gym after my weigh in last night instead if having treat night like usual!
xStarting Weight - 16st 5lbs

Hey Penky - snap! I lost 4lbs last week and STS this week! Well done for gymming instead of treating unfortunately i went with treat night!!
I have just eaten a WW bagel with ELF garlic and herb soft cheese. Quite yum..
Having a picnic with the OH today who is meeting me at lunchtime, I have prepared everything so I'll be in points AND I can get in an extra gym visit this evening.
Karen23 I forgot to congratulate you on the resistance of pointerific (new word of the day) food! I'm really not sure I could do it when it was in front of me I'm useless! I'm already thinking about what I'll have on Saturday 'no pointing' day. I'm going to have to stop that soon I reckon.
Penky, I think you should write everything down this week so you know exactly what your eating. Your unmotivational leaders not good though - its not difficult to find a couple of motivating words or throw in some tips that might work - well we'll give you all the encouragement you need right here!
Oh, and I REALLY enjoyed my big kids dinner last night :-)

hi all, i finally took the step of rejoining weight watchers last night, i did join about 8 years ago, and got to goal, but i have put most of it back on again.
resisted a chocolate biscuit this afternoon, with coffee, which is a small step, and bought healthy food in for tea, salmon, salad, and jacket spud, its the evening i'm dreading, as i usually like a drink and crisps, going to try hard to resist, and drink a glass of diet coke, and packet snack jacks later.
will let you all know how i get on,
shaz xenjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)0 -

Hi guys :hello:
I'm having such a stressful day at work today thank god I have WW and 'light' snacks available or i'd be hitting that vending machine!
Well done shaz for resisting that biscuit! and congrats hot.chick on the 1lb down :T
I've had a WW bagel this morning with light butter and have a pitta bread with coronation tuna (which is a bit sickly and I prob wont buy again) for lunch with WW sweet chilli crinkle crisps which are lush but good god its a small packet!! I've never seen anything so smallwill be followed by an apple (possibly but it has been sitting on my desk for at least a week) and maybe a WW bar. Oh its all WW food today which I don't normally do...
Ugh I am on the hunt for a new mobile phone and have had one of these touch screen ones for the last week and its doing my head in so I'm sending it back - now need to decide on something else. Oh it was all so simple when all you could do on 'em was phone and text.
Enjoy your day x xReally should be doing some work...0 -
Oh I'm ready to finish work now! Supposed to be going to the gym....
I am going to try these pitta pizzas that are all over the WW message boards - will let you know how I get on! Going to have ham (if still in date) and mushrooms. Will serve with good old BNS chips :-)
I really need to eat like a grown up!Really should be doing some work...0
