Anyone confirm if this is in Wales? Only I often go rushing off to my local store only to find no trace of the 'offer' in question and told by CS that it's probably only available in England. Bah!!!!!

    Cheers guys!

I got mine for 1p too :T ! Bought 23 (wanted to leave some for other people). Quite funny in Mr T's though !

I initially put 2 in my basket to see if they would go through at 1p. Went to self scan and hey presto - 1p each ! So, left DD with the stuff that I bought first (much to her dismay and rolling of the eyes:rolleyes: - teenagers eh?!) and went back and started to fill my basket. Nice chap standing next to me starts looking at me really oddly (can't say I blame him!) So, I politely explain that they are going through at 1p and he starts to fill his basket too ! Woman behind him starts to fill hers and all of a sudden (I reckon some people have x-ray hearing) there's about 15 people standing behind me asking me which bulbs are going through at 1p !

Then I get to the till and a SA is standing behind me, says "oh, some more going through at 1p" and calls over her mate and says something like "we're not supposed to sell stuff that goes through at 1p:eek: ". So I politely explain (load of twaddle) that my friend has phoned me and she's got loads and the manager of the store where she is has said it's fine and that they need to be sold because the don't conform to legislation any more (6 year thing). Got chatting and said to her why didn't she nip in and get some once she'd finished (which she said she would if there were any left) and on the way out (once I'd paid my 21p) she said "oh you'd better have some of these" and gave me about 40 computers for schools vouchers :j !!

    Horrayyy for Tesco's ! lol

Edit: Forgot to say SEL still showed original price !
    :jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j

Found them at my local Tesco and got about four of each different type for the variety of light fittings in my house but got told that it was a maximum of four 1p bulbs per customer. Ended up with 4 that don't fit any of my lights.

Bet they will all be gone by tomorrow but at least I have only lost 4p!!

I work within a Tesco but am not employed by them.
They were only letting ppl have 4 each.
Customers were coming in, going through the till then coming back again. Lots of small shopkeepers around here.
i was told once that something goes wrong with the computer system when a certain no. of things go through having been reduced to 1p.
Maybe true, maybe urban tesco myth, but by heck they got a lot of people in their stores.
Who on earth would need 41!!! unless you have a v big house, or a car boot habit...i didnt get any anyways cos i get all mine free :)

Managed to get some Tesco 11w spiral, bayonet fitting, Tesco 20w stick, bayonet fitting, & Tesco Value 11w stick, bayonet fitting from Huddersfield Tesco at about 5.00pm today. Still had a relatively small number of above only left, and not spiral are definately NOT labeled at 1p, but do scan at 1p.

Thanks again to op, best bargain I've had in years! ... and sour grapes to alanwarwic
I have gained from advice as well as bargains here, so if I can help in any way, I am only too pleased to do so and appreciate your thanks.
