1p Energy Saving Bulbs

In case anyone is looking in Poole, all the Tesco's own 6 year ones were still full price - it was just the GE ones that were 1p and there were none left in Tower Park - just empty shelves! Boo!:(

I went last night and got some. However when I went this morning everyone seemed to know as it was in the Daily Mail. None of the prices were marked down but the sa then came and did it. In the Daily Mail it says all 6000 hour bulbs so I bough a couple of these and will go back later and ask for the overcharge back. If it says all 6000 hour bulbs then regardless of the sel Tesco should honour it. Go for it!!!

Just thought I'd let people know that the 11W spiral bulbs are really fragile ! I have used the standard energy saving bulbs for years and have never broken one. However, I was putting one of my new (1p ) 11W spiral bulbs into a light fitting and it just smashed and fell apart in my hand. So be a bit careful - especially considering they have mercury in them:eek: .

Us too but we were refunded and got to keep the bulbs for free.

dozens and dozens still on the shelves at Tesco Chadderton (in the Oldham area) as the SEL's are still at full price. Scanning at 1p though as we picked three up today. Good luck, and avoid customer services staff. Went yesterday to enquire the price and they cleared the shelves and hid them away, only for them to be put out again today

Out of order. If you had read the whole thread you would have seen other posters had been getting them at 1p.
The OP has taken a lot of unfair knocking for what was a genuine bargain, but has anyone had the balls to apologise?

Totally agree Keith .... if this is the way that people treat someone who's trying to help with a fantastic bargain then what hope for future bargains is there? People will be too frightened to post for fear of receiving nasty comments !

Plenty of posters have said just that. It seems that if you have hundreds or thousands of posts, you can bully, harrass or abuse newbies. They quote rules for all sorts of things but forget this one,

Fab find! Got some at Silverburn Glasgow this afternoon. They were still full price on the shelf but I checked on a scanner for the 1p ones. The girl on the till said that they had been told to restrict the offer to 4 per customer but since there was no one else in the queue, she did separate transactions to get them all through. Got 16 in all. Thank you again
