Has anyone managed to get their money back after LXdirect clawed the money back?
I'm having difficulties with my CC company - they refuse to investigate and that I should take it up with LXDirect.

Too big to quote but the post from Maddom, If this were possible (don't think it is) just to be a stick in the mud, it is tantamount to deception.
2ndly - what do the T+C's say on LX's site? This could be a starting point in the buyers defence (or LX's)should LX result to County Court action.
Just a thought.0 -
LX Direct is a joke, I used codes about twenty times, changing e-mail addresses and saving at least £200. Eventually they called me up saying they will charge me the normal price for the goods I bought. I told them that the e-mails they sent me were receipts, so they accepted to go into a deal with me for the discounted amount (irrespective of whether they were generated by a computer or human). I said it is Littlewood's responsibility to implement any terms and conditions on their codes, if they send you an agreement that ignores and violates those terms then they have no claim.
I never heard from them since and had no money taken from my credit card. ;D0 -
Re: Changing credit card
I've tried doing this before with a hotel booking I had made - it can still go through months afterwards, because you authorised the payment and they are still allowed to take it from you for weeks afterwards. I had even cancelled the orginal card and reported it as stolen, and when I rang the credit card company they told me I had already agreed to pay it weeks ago, there was nothing they could do :-[0 -
hi, i was wondering if you can still use any of the codes still as i am looking to buy something there.
Thanks for your help.0 -
when you sign up with them ,do they have a button you have to press to say you have read and accept all their terms and conditions?
some sites wont let you sign up till you press the button, some wont let you press the button until you read the terms...
If not, then they cant prove that you read them and so would not really have a case against anyone.
If they have stated that the codes are only yours to use if issued to you, they would have to lay out in exact terms what issued to you meant, eg. sent through the post, only given to you on completion of a previous order..etc
Just because you found the code on another website does not mean you thought it was not an official code issued to all interested parties and advertised by them.0
