well i have got a week off work.. and so prolly will try and get a letter done..

Please post a copy of the letter you will send to LXDirect on this thread and keep us updated!

  • not that is is gonna help much, but I ordered a george forman grill from lxdirect...used codes found here and a few other places and instead of £ 49.99 plus P&P...with the codes managed to get it down to £29.99.

The order came in two days, and all seemed well....then a few weeks later when i got my bank statement through, they had charged me the full price, then creditied me back with the amount of the codes to bring the item down to the £29.99 price, then the credited me the amount again...which meant i actually only paid £15.00 for the item...which was nice, and have checked my account again a month on and nothing seems to have come back to me since.

So I think it seems to be a few cases, I think they are just picking randon instances and taking them further

They are now telling me that they have refunded £30 to my credit card account on 14 October. Have checked my account online, and no such refund has been made.

These people are laughable. At least, I'd be laughing if all our monies weren't involved!

Another example of bad management on LX's part. No wonder they are worried about the vouchers if they debit them twice.
  • i foned them up this morning, and confirmed my DoB (as 85, not 86) and they said that i used 2 promotional codes and should have only used one, so i used the 20%, nothing else was said, she said everything was dandy!

so, it looks like all is well? but i have received no email confirming anything? i have no record of the purchase apart from the "your order is being processed through our systems. You will shortly be receiving an e-mail confirming the availability and the delivery period of your order"

and the one telling me to fone them?

just about to check my statement

Even if the seller did give you all the information and the final price is still different from the one you were quoted, the seller might have broken the law.

Ok, so its been 8 days and my item has not been delivered and no money has been taken out of my account...? I got an "order acknowledged' email when i purchased the item which stated "delivery within 7 days" but the one email is the only contact i have had from them. Think im just going to get in touch and see whats going on.

My only hope is that most of us have paid for the goods on credit cards with internet guarantees. I too now think that lx direct should be given a wide berth :-/
    Marching on together....
  • has anyone bought a previous item and not been told this??? it is illegal for them to do this, if it happens to me then i will take them to court. they cannot adjust prices after it has been completed.
